I’m not even interested in getting a ebook reader but I still love watching your video’s 😊 I personally just read ebooks on an app on my phone and iPad. You can do most of the things on the app as you can on a e-reader but it saves me money and I just find that it’s easier.
I have been using my yellow Kindle Fire tablet for the last 7 years just for ebooks. The kindle app is on my fire and I have a kindle unlimited membership. I upgraded my storage disk and decorated it with bookish stickers. Works great for me as i go between ebook and physical copy books.
After lots of research about getting my first kindle (or really, asking for it for Christmas lol) I agree the paperwhite is the best option. I love the matcha color of the basic but it was too small for my preference and I also didn’t like that it wasn’t waterproof and didn’t have the option of warm light. Thank you for making this video and Happy Thanksgiving if you celebrate 🤎
Thank you so much Khalilah. Kindle is on my wish list and I was going to get the color soft. Definitely will ask for the updated paper white instead. You answered all of my questions. This is super helpful.❤
I wish there was something in between paper white and basic! I ended up getting the basic matcha as my first ereader just wish it had a couple of extra features like auto adjust and waterproof. I have an iPad mini i would read off of but it was still too big to travel with and would hurt my eyes…which is why i went with the basic. No complaints so far i love my basic maybe in the future if they have a paper white/basic hybrid where we get all the features of paper white but size of basic I’ll upgrade 😊
Same I just got the matcha basic and I thought about returning it for the paperwhite but I just didn't feel like it was worth it to pay 40 more for the paperwhite but to each it's own. I still need to decorate mine
I took your recommendation before and bought the paperwhite it was so good ❤ I love it thank you and I was watching one of your old videos and noticed you asked for recommendations for makeup artists to learn form and the two people I watch are :’makeup by nikki la rose’ and ‘Haley Kim ‘ these artists are very good 😊
Thank you for the insight. I have the paper white before this new release and when the kindle color came out, I thought my sister might enjoy it but now I’ll recommend her staying with paper white. Thanks again..
I do have the Kindle Scribe, from a year ago I think. I got it as a gift, and I like it a lot. Another draw is that if you're a writer (like me) who doesn't always like to type, you can write longform in the notebooks section, then convert to pdf with the tap of a button and send it to your email. Then you can just copy and paste into a doc and edit. I have found this very useful, especially when on the go or when I just can't take looking at a bright white screen any longer. I also love the size - I always feel like the regular kindle screens are too small for my taste, and for writing it makes sense to be a bit bigger.
This is so helpful! I have a 2022 paper white so I don’t need a new kindle but I get major fomo lol so this was good to know I’m not really missing out!!
This was a great product review! I have the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition (11th Gen) and a Kobo Libra Color. I love my Kobo. I love writing directly onto the digital pages while reading. Now, I only use the Kindle for KU books. That said, the next Kindle color e-reader is probably going to “slap” because they are feeling the burn of disappointment from the initial color product. They’ll get it right next time…
I put a kindle on my Christmas wish list and yesterday my dad asked me to research kindles and tell him which one I liked best so this came at the perfect time!
Girl it’s like you know what I’m thinking when you post your videos! I have a 9th Gen Oasis that I’ve owned for 6 years now and was looking to upgrade to one of the 2024 lineups but was unsure which one to get. This video is perfect!
Happy thanksgiving to you and your family!! thank you for your review I will stick with my paperwhite, I have the 2021 version and it does wonder!! I was gonna get the new color soft but seeing many reviews and your review I will stick with my old faithful kindle paper white!! Thanks so much for this review!!
As someone who is looking to get a basic kindle for travelling/to save storage, I have been watching so many videos like this (and I am so glad you posted this, I love your content). My main reason for wanting the basic is I don’t want to spend too much as I prefer paperbacks but don’t have the storage space for all the books I want!! Would you say this is a good kindle for getting started with an e-reader since I don’t want it to replace my paperback books? ❤
Girl, trust me, get the Paperwhite! I had the basic version for a little over 3 years, and I recently switched to the Paperwhite. Even I prefer paperbacks but it becomes both heavy and expensive to keep buying physical books constantly. Trust me, you'll fall in love with reading on a Kindle. If you currently have the money, get the Paperwhite. If not, wait for a while, save up and get the Paperwhite. It's so much better than the basic one and has more features, storage space and durability. Trust me you'll not regret it!
This was so useful, also made me realise I made a video about my my kindle paperwhite that isn’t actually a paperwhite 😂 the new paperwhite is defo on my Christmas wish list! 🥰
I just replaced my basic Kindle from 2019. I'm so happy with my new Paperwhite; I might get a Kobo Libra in the future once I get some money saved. I'd like to get it to read manga and other graphic novels.
I'm curious what you all think about the new (12th gen?) Kindle Paperwhite, because I've heard some pretty mixed opinions on it. For one, I heard there is no longer an option to completely remove the warm light; you can adjust it, but there will always be a gold tone to your screen. For those who have the new model, have you found this to be true? How noticeable is the warm tone on the lowest warmth setting? Secondly, although I don't think this has actually been confirmed, I heard someone say the new model has less LED lights inside it. Someone mentioned that there are no longer product specifications of the LED lights on the box of the new model (as opposed to older models). For those who have the new model, have you found the lighting to be more uneven, or less bright compared to the previous model? And finally, how much of a difference have you found the new model has over the previous Paperwhite? Do you prefer the new one? I appreciate anyone's input on this! 🙂
No it's called fire tablet now. They are not actual kindles. They are a tablet with the kindle app. I still love my fire tablet because of the color. I have the paperwhite too
I decided to go this route and ended up going through two Libra Colors and a Clara.. All three of them had one or some combination of uneven lighting, dead pixels or pinholes. Maybe I'm just unlucky lol but the quality control seemed to be pretty lacking.
@@bc4ke what a bummer. I didn't have any sort of kindle before so I have no kindle to compare my kobo with. I have the libra 2 and have had no issues. It is a little slower when highlighting than when I use the kobo app on my phone but I don't really mind that. I figured that's just how it is to go from my phone to the kobo.
@@Bellehashadenough558 I really liked them otherwise! I only tried the color options, so maybe I should just try the Clara BW. After using Kobos for a bit I actually prefer them in a lot of ways over Kindles.
My job bought me a kindle scribe. it’s so freaking huge and it not being waterproof is crazy but I love taking notes on it. I feel 🤓But It’s not worth the money glad I didn’t buy it 😂
I got my kindle basic 8th gen for £50 8yrs ago, still does the job. I am considering getting a Kobo just for accessing my library's ebooks. But I'm not willing to part with that amount of money, it's almost the same as my mortgage! 😂
ads supported means there will be ads on your screen when the kindle is in sleep mode no ads supported means no ads but keep in mind the ads aren't pop up ads they just show on the screen when you're not using it but they are all book ads, hope that helps
What is going on with these bots??? Literally all repeating the same paragraph about some random book. I just reported all of the ones I’ve seen so far.
Highly recommend not getting Kindle instead get a Kobo/Tolino or Pocketbook that way you will actually OWN your ebooks and not license them with the added benefit of not supporting Amazon!
I’m not even interested in getting a ebook reader but I still love watching your video’s 😊

I have my blue one, too! Maybe I should upgrade my storage 🤔
Get an e-ink kindle or kobo. You’re missing out, its simply the best tech for reading and gives you much less eyestrain.
I love the fire and the page turning animation. And to see my books in high color makes it perfect.
this is so perfect before black friday
Thank you so much. This was so helpful. I’m looking forward to buying my first ever kindle this year 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

I think the paperwhite is the best option or has been in my opinion. Happy reading 📚 😊
Thanks for this video. Want to buy my first Kindle. Was thinking of getting the Paperwhite Signature.

I just upgraded my Kindle Fire HD. However, thank you for the info on the others particularly the Colorsoft. I saw those comments as well.
Thank you for the insight. I have the paper white before this new release and when the kindle color came out, I thought my sister might enjoy it but now I’ll recommend her staying with paper white. Thanks again..

You should keep one of your Kobos for comparison if you’re giving your brother the colorsoft 😊

Great comparison of all the Kindle types! Now I feel much more confident about which one to choose. 🙌
If you are going to get the Kindle Scribe, I definitely recommend the BOOX Note Air 4 over the scribe

Anything you can get today is a downgrade from an oasis.
@ yeah I decided to keep my Oasis. Also I love your username!
I just got a kindle paperwhite signature in August. Think I should upgrade to new paper white sig ?

Milo is soooooooo cute! Good video! Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
Did the Kindle Paperwhite typing get faster as well? That’s the only part that frustrates me when I’m annotating lol
happy thanksgiving!
Happy thanksgiving!!
1st off……Happy Thanksgiving🦃🍁❤️. I just want to say also that for the price the Scribe should have more memory. At least 32 GB.
what happened to the kindle fire? have they discontinued it?
No it's called fire tablet now. They are not actual kindles. They are a tablet with the kindle app. I still love my fire tablet because of the color. I have the paperwhite too
You could also go away from Kindle and supporting Amazon, and purchase a Kobo or other e-reader instead.
I have a Kobo and love it. I recommend it to everyone.

This video is very informative
I have the kindle color soft without the yellow band but I feel like the battery is not as great
I really want to buy one but I know I like physical copies more so I'll probably just stick to that
What is the difference between ads supported vs no ads supported ?

Nahhh let’s read a cook book and get to whipping👨🏾🍳
Good quality video, but you need timestamps, going to make a lot of people not watching due to this.
You want color get the kindle fire. 😊

Or no Kindle to not support Amazon :)
🙄
Maybe you should get another e-reader that's not a Kindle if you don't want to do that
Dont worry I will :)
