The outcome is beautiful, but I am not a fan of the layering ponytail technique it’s entirely too much, it would cause me headaches, her hair is very fine to me it was not necessary

The ponytail is nice...But I know there's another way to get his slick without me having 4 to 5 Rubber bands in my hair

Just keep gathering the hair using a duck clip to hold it until you reach the final piece. Then use a ponytail holder (elastic band) No rubberbands
Those are not 'rubber' bands. They are made of material that do not break your hair

Cute outcome but the amount of tension in that one spot looks like it could be uncomfortable especially after all the gel and sprits dry because it becomes tighter. There are definitely other methods to lighten the tension off of the soft spot of the head to get this same cute look. But again overall it's a cute, quick up do! 😍

No way that was less than 10 minutes. Video is sped up and even still, it is more than 7 minutes. Stylist is doing wayyyyyyyy too much!! I have 4c hair and can slick my hair down without using that many rubber bands.

I can see this for 4c hair but her hair is so fine. She probably couldn't have just gotten the same results with a brush up, gel and apply. No?

I mean I don’t like to bleach my hair a lot so it’s like a cute way to add color and not damage my hair if someone had really long grow out or an ombré wouldn’t the ponytail look similar anyway? 😅
