- This video explains a detailed experiment with related theory. Nitrogen, sulfur, and halogens are identified in the laboratory through Lassaigne's test. The first step is to prepare a sodium fusion extract using sodium metal. Sodium metal reacts with nitrogen, sulfur, or halogens (depending on the element present) and is converted to corresponding inorganic compounds (detailed reactions are given in the video).

Thanks a lot
Super explain sir
I UNDERSTOOD
Best video❤
Thanks a lot
Amazing sir ...thank you.. it was so beneficial at the last moment for revision❤
Glad to hear that
@@imsaksham1 sir can u post colorimetric determination and qualitative analysis of organic compounds
@@ankithaankitha1511 Sure. I will try for qualitative analysis
*dill H2SO4 no Conc. H2SO4
I understood
Sir please make this type of video. These are very required for the students.
I will try sir. Please share the experiment on which you want video.
It reminded me the lab experiments during my graduation days...Nostalgic...
Thank you sir

6:51 sodium fussion extract toh yellow tha na pahle
I just explain the procedure to prepare sodium fusion extract. Colour of extract is different for different compounds.
thank you
❤❤ thanks
Thank You
Sir eski related vive questions bhi dale aaa. Plz😊
Tks
Your explanation is really good🎉 sir. I have many doubts regarding organic
and inorganic analysis. Could you give any tricks for that
t.me/+9_Z0F5coiCVmNjk1 Join this link and message me. I will clear your doubts one to one.
THANK you sir
All the best
excellent job sir
I'm confused while making sodium fusion extract, how can we know which organic compounds have to take and does that organic compound has an effect on the elements that are determining?
I don't understood your question fully. You can select organic compound randomly and perform the test.
Saksham chemistry. Sir name match nhi hua 😅😅
Mismatched season 3😀
In this experiment we need to use distilled water
Yes
👍
Sir, i like your video very much but you did not tell the name of compound . So what will be the name of the compound ?????? Please tell me sir
Please check comment section. I already mentioned about names of compounds
Today is my exam and I'm watching this..🙂
Best of Luck for your exam.
Thank you for showing the practical. I will be able to remember the equations nicely
Excuse me sir sorry to ask this question why you test this chemicals experimrnt what the purpose of it if example if i watch cooking video are happily cook but you are seriously done experiment first are you to video please mention uses of this experiment thank you
First of all its educational video for undergraduate science students. Some chemicals used in this experiment are hazardous and flamable. I am serious because I want every student listen it seriously and not as entertainment.
wow! so beautiful to understand sir
👍👍🔥🔥🇮🇳
Sir which compound are used in this?
m-nitroaniline, Thiourea, Chlorobenzene
Is it okay that fusion tube melts in the water?
Fusion tube breaks in water as it is very hot
why we choose only sodium metal for element detection ?? Please reply Fast
Sodium metal reacts easily with organic compound as compared to other metals. It will react to form easily detectable inorganic compounds. We can store it in kerosese and can cut easily into small pieces. Most important it's cheap.
Please share with your groups fast.
And Why we are preparing lassaigne's extract for detection of elements
@@monikaaswal7914 Lassaigne's extract convert organic compound into inorganic compounds. Details are in the video.
Thankyou So much sir ❤️
Does all sodium halide is white in color ?
Yes
Sir vo yellow compound kya tha ???
m Nitroaniline
Organic compound jo add kiya h jisne positive result show kiye h uska name kya h?????
Nitrogen test : m-Nitroaniline
Sulphur test : Thiourea
Halogen test : Chloroform
Pharmigos class I greet y'all ❤🎉
You say clear, but wasn't it a little bit yellow?
Clear means without particals, it doesn't mean colourless.
Muje ek baat samaj nhe ai nitrogen ke test k liy sodium extract yellow tha fr Sulphur ke liye transparent kaise huaaa yellow vala kyu ni liya
Let me clear here,
Mene iss video me sodium fusion extract kaise banana he vo pehle explain kiya he, har ek element ke liye procedure same he. Har test ke liye alag se sodium fusion extract banaya gaya he par video me nahi aaya he.
compound kya kya le skte h
It's in comment
Thank u sir
Welcome
Sir is it necessary to break the test tube?
Yes
What's that yellow pulverized sample there?
m-nitroaniline
Sir u added acetic acid in sulphur test but it was not mentioned in the reaction. Why?
Acetic acid create common ion effect here. Black colour ppt is of lead sulphide so no direct involvement of acetic acid.
@@imsaksham1 but it(acetic acid)
has to be added during the procedure right?
And one more doubt
Is it necessary to do lassaigne test twice as you did in the video?
Yes
We have to take sodium metal twice for correct results. You can take it once also.
What is the name of that organic compound
Which one ?
@@imsaksham1 Compound that added to Sodium metal to prepare lassaigne test
Three different compounds used
For Nitrogen test- m-Nitroaniline
For Sulphur test - Thiourea
For Halogen test - Chlorobenzene
But how do different presence of br cl and i
That can be done using halogen test
Pov : you have chemistry practical tomorrow
Sir ye test kab karna chhitee
When you want to identify organic compound
Sodium metal ke sath konse compound add krni h sir?
Nitrogen test : m-Nitroaniline
Sulphur test : Thiourea
Halogen test : Chloroform
@@imsaksham1
Clbr konse test me use hogi
Clbr hope it is Chlorine and Bromine. Halogen test
