I am sitting here with tears streaming down. There are many reasons why this song has always haunted me. It takes me back to being an idealistic young man. I love your rendition of this truly. Thank you. I also agree - this was David Crosby's best song.
Thank you Jim! How wonderful to hear from you and how wonderful to know how this cover has affected you. Thank you for your kind comments! I hope all is well for you! - Glenn
Hi Jules! Thank you so much! I'm so pleased to learn that you thought this came out well! Yes, the D-45 has a wonderfully warm sound to it, a lot of depth. I know I am very fortunate to have this guitar! I hope all is well for you, Jules! - Glenn
Hey Glenn. I really adore your videos. You have such a pure sense of enjoyment for music and it comes through in every video. You're an inspiration to me and so many other musicians to keep playing! Love this song. Truly inspiring work. Thank you.

Thank you Pierre! I'm so glad you like this; I do, too! In fact, I have always loved this song. I never got to see David Crosby live. I'm glad you did. What a great singer he was. You take care, Pierre and be well! - Glenn
wow! Well done. There's a lot of dissonance. It sounds very eerie, but it is a beautiful piece. Glenn, I do have a question. What is the difference in sound between a 12 string guitar and a six string? I don't play guitar myself, because the strings hurt my fingers. I tried to play the violin, but showed no interest. When it came to the Flute, I literally took to it like a duck takes to water. I've mastered white room by cream completely on flute. It takes a lot of air, but it's well worth it. also, it sounded like you were using your 12 string guitar there. You have a beautiful singing voice. It sounds like you might be a baritone. Well done on ode to big blue by Gordon Lightfoot.
Hi Amanda! wonderful to hear from you. I am using a 6-string acoustic guitar and then a 6-string electric guitar for the accompaniment on Guinnevere. No 12-string guitar, though the combination of the guitars does seem to hint at a 12-string sound. A 12-string guitar has 6 sets of dual strings. The two highest pairs of strings are in unison, and in the lower pitched strings the paired string is an octave higher, so that there are more frequencies showing up in the guitar accompaniment. Sometimes a 12-string guitar is just the right instrument; sometimes it's just too much, too many clashy overtones to sound best. I am a baritone, and thank you for your comments on Big Blue, too. I hope you are doing well. I'm glad you have your flute and music to help enrich your life. You take care! - Glenn

Love your cover Glenn. I've seen David (as C S N) once in concert. David Crosby was half a year older than me
