What’s the movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon about?
Optimus Prime, the Autobots and Sam Witwicky (Shia Labeouf) are back in the third movie of the famous franchise from director Michael Bay : Transformers.
Two years after the Egypt incident, the Autobots and their human allies discover a piece of Cybertronian technology which is part of an Autobot spacecraft that crashed on the moon. After bringing back the body of Sentinel Prime and reviving it, they learn that with this new discovery come new threats for the Earth and humankind.
They will have to start once more a war with the Decepticons to prevent them from trying to enslave humanity and bring all Cybertron on Earth.

Honestly, their screams are so authentic when they're dangling from his eye you sometimes forget the sheer terror normal humans feel when facing this kind of supernatural danger
The first 3 Bay Transformers are my ultimate guilty pleasure.
Couldn't agree more! Transformers 1-3 were my childhood! I actually loved Sam Witwicky as the protagonist. Kade, while I like the actor in other movies unrelated to Transformers, is just a completely forgettable protagonist imo in Transformers 4 and 5.

Definitely did... when did starscream ever fight... he was soo scared, he always left Megatron to struggle.. starscream only followed Sam... a human... he did deserve to die by a human..he wasn't even fighting in dark of the moon... because he's too scared

Starscream in TF3 - hes head explodes to pieces
Starscream TF5 - hes head is in perfect shape found on the junkyard

Michael Bay Transformers 1-3 will always be my childhood, and the only good Transformers by Michael. But Transformers 4 and 5 are completely nonexistent to me. Those movies ruined that childhood

For the record. Bay screwed up big time with Last Knight. The fourth movie was fantastic in my opinion.

I’m pretty sure all these people’s rational was it was better to stay indoors than risk drawing Decepticon attention in the streets. The Decepticons didn’t specifically target humans unless they were out in the open, so if the building they were in survived the initial wave of destruction, they were pretty safe as long as they stayed hidden. Someone crashing in through the window was one of those things that drew unwanted attention.

People always say that bug line like they’ve never tried to catch a fast, tiny insect themselves. It ain’t that easy just cuz they’re big

3. sam's arm doesn't get cut-off.
4. sam flies around ss remaining intact.
5. chain is cut with a knife.
6. bumblebee appears out of nowhere unable to see what's happening.

Soo many explosions that they don't even register anymore. Thanks to Bay, explosions are just air now.

@@aetherx464 the thing is we have a point of reference in real life to the durability of a human arm, we know how durable it is and there's no stated change in the film fiction of that, we do not have a real life point of reference for fictional alien robots so we only know what we're shown about them, yet we know more about the human body than we're shown in the movie because obviously we're human beings

I would say they were hiding there but yeah, those people looked like they were shopping in a warzone. I can’t think of it as a mistake. So I think it may have been an outtake from a different context that was reintroduced into the final cut because they didn’t want to film one more scene when they had a similar one.
Imagine the bloopers on that scene of what they were really dangling from. Lolz
Imagine being a main antagonist and surviving this long to get killed by humans
This scene was poetic justice, and rather funny and all.. But what was the reason for Starscream being unable to simply just fly away either by transforming into his jet or just jet-boosting away in-form which he has done before when he realizes he's in deep-shit? They made his death too easy here. Would've made more sense to his character if he just transformed into his jet after Sam damaged his 2nd eye from the boomstick, and then we just see him explode mid-air in jet form.
Starscream has always been a prideful asshole type of character, and with both of his eyes damaged he probaby wouldnt have been flying too well. Not to mention he was probaby in shock and didnt think to run anyway. Anywho, i didnt write it so who the hell knows why he didnt run or why he died so easy.
Well I’m sure at first Starscream figured he could handle a couple of humans without any trouble, so even after his first eye was gouged out and he started coming under small arms fire, he stuck around, probably thinking he would regain control of the situation. Then of course, Sam gets his other eye and blinds him. At this point, he really *can’t* run. He’s blind, he wouldn’t be able to see where he’s even going. He’s also clearly enraged and in a panic, so he’s not thinking clearly at all. Finally I’d doubt he even realized that thing Sam stuck into his face was going to explode. He angrily declares he’s going to kill Sam and Lennox right as it blows up. If it hadn’t blown up, he probably still could have wildly flailed around and maybe got one of them, or held out until help arrived. So yeah, he probably didn’t really think he had to run, and by the time running away became his only safe option, it was already too late, even if he could fly away blind, doubtful, that boomstick was already in his face.
Bay is killing iconic characters from the franchise way too easily!
Best to not acknowledge his work as anything but trash for 13 year old idiots.

This whole scene always irked me. A classic tranformer shouldnt have gone out this way
Bay probably thought it'd be funny for Starscream as a particular transformer to go out this way since he's always been such a pu**y to engage in real fights after the forest battle in RotF when 3 of them nearly fucking lost to Prime all by himself who managed to kill at least 1 of them, who was 2x Prime's size.
Notice how he never got involved into another fight ever again, even leaving Megatron alone when he engaged in fights who wasn't as much of a pu**y, unless Starscream had an unfair advantage, or thought he did, hence why he'd thought to get an easy human kill from Sam but unbeknownst to him, Sam was ironically prepared with Wheeljack's tech.
Personally I would've loved to see Bumblebee kick his ass because he 100% would've, before also killing Soundwave. But Sam getting the kill too was poetic justice.. and rather funny.

I get why people feel like Starscream deserves a better death but I actually like that Sam has some agency and is able to defend himself rather than an Autobot coming to save him. The scene is also really well directed and the sound design is just impeccable.

That nostalgia of Sam vs Starscream as always. It's so funny to see them fight again. The classic Sam vs Starscream. These two have known each for so long. Never gets old to see old friends again trying to kill each other.😅 I mean Starscream has always been the one targeting Sam. But Lennox helped to. Lennox and Sam must've been extremely dizzy after that fight with Starscream. But they were both scared to notice.
i remember being like 10 in the theaters while watching this and thinking that Bumblebee sniped Starscream from afar and Sam was just messing w/ some weird ass grapple hook, not a grenade wheeljack gave him. Two explosions didn't make sense to me, especially one coming from his chest. Growing up i've come to realize the explosions in transformers movies do not make sense 90% of the time
It did look like bumble bee did shoot him, considering there was only some fire, sparks and not blue energon, meaning bee probably shot him then came to save them
