The CE-125 and a 1250/1260 was a really neat combo!

Two red wires fell off due to corrosion on my CE-125. When I check the video on 6:12 and 26:25, I can see some hint on how they are supposed to be soldered. One of the wires is screwed to the chassis at the tape recorder. However, it very much looks like it's soldered to the positive terminal at the battery connector? How does this make sense? The other one is - even if it's red - soldered to the negative terminal, and goes to the connector. On my CE-125, it is soldered there on the rightmost solder pad, but I can't find a position in the video that would confirm this. Would you maybe still have pictures that confirm or deny my observations?

Hi Birt, I fixed the trouble for Fw and Rew,, Also I noticed that there is no need to remove the screws at 36:48 in the video to open the 'box'.

Sorry I missed your original message. Guessing it might have been stuck linkage or the switch that the linkage hits to enable the motor.

Hi Birt, so nice and very useful video, I already have 3 of them and some tricky pb on one of them, " FF" and " Rew " works only if I press "play" before... do you have any idea of where the trouble comes from ? Thks in advance if you can help me a little..

Ah, up early to walk dogs and come home to a relaxing cup of coffee and a new Hey Birt! video. This one made me wonder about screw drivers. I restore vintage 70s Honda motorcycles. It is very important to have JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) screw drivers - not Phillips or you can easily strip the heads of the screws. I wonder if small screw in some of these electronics are JIS.

That could be. Both systems have 0, 00 and 000 sizes. When it gets that small it is hard to know how many zeros you need :)
I just checked the smallest phillips driver I have is PH0. Sounds like a good excuse to buy PH and JIS 00, and 000 drivers :)

Ordered PH 0,00,000 set and JIS 0,00,000 set. We'll see which works better on these pocket computers. Fun!

@@HeyBirt One of the issues with the Hondas is that many parts are aluminum and bolts/screws are steel. So they can bind over the years. (I always reinstall with anti-seize on the screws/bolts). But that slight difference between JIS and PH can strip a head fast.

Hi Bert, that tape title is "Application software" in Katakana, a type of Japanese exactly "just the pronunciation", that's why they have a hard time learning computer since most of the things in this form, have to learn English first.

These models were mostly designed to run software written on the bigger ones. You could give them to your sales/support/engineered guys to take with them, before laptops were really a thing or affordable.
