Great job! I wonder if some clever person might come up with some kind of adapter board that would allow the use of, say, SRAM + glue logic in place of the weird DRAM's, presumably using very small SMD components? (Not me -- I don't have those skills, but I still wonder!) The tape drive writing actual directory information at the beginning of the tape looks like quite a neat feature compared to how so many computers handle mini- and micro-cassette storage.
It is an old Pace MBT rework station. Got it about 10 years ago from eBay only slightly used. It is probably 20+ years old at this point but Pace still supports it as the military bought scads of them.
Wow! Amazing work! This thing fascinates with its ability to create a directory on tape! I want that for my C64!
Bravo! Nice save! Amazing to me. PX-8 is a nifty computer.
A masterful repair, young Skywalker!
Incredible adventure. Yay for HC-80/PX-8
Great video - thx so much !

very good job!
It is an interesting machine. Very overcomplicated for what it is though.
Great video as usual...What type of solder sucker is that? Sounds like it has some proper ooomph!
