I can't stand watching this story preached and listened to by free, clean, middle-class, air-conditioned folks, everyone is always so appalled at the Israelites' reaction to the series of events. I need somebody, to be honest about the context of the story. If I spent 400 years in slavery with my *entire bloodline*...no word from the all loving all powerful one the entire time...then one day he sent the Pharoh's stepson to come free us...and the more spectacular each plague was, the more I wondered why he couldn't have done this 400, 200, even 100 years ago...and then we wandered into the desert in search of some mysterious land he's promised us...and then just as we think we're about to finally have some reprieve, we find out the land he promised is still occupied, and by GIANTS...I might be a little frustrated too.
And I don't care how many shade clouds and heavenly croissants he dropped over the next FORTY years, watching an *entire* generation of my ancestors wander the desert until they died would increase my contempt...or my fear...but certainly not my "faith". Let's have that conversation, then we'll get somewhere.

If anyone in the Choir dress like they are going to Walmart to buy something, how in the World can anyone identify them as going to meet Jesus to Worship Him...our goal should not be to see how close we can resemble the world in spiritual matters but how vastly different WE are from the world!!! Change your ways or change your name!!!
Let us be careful with this First Lady stuff .... I get it .....But it is the same way the Apostolic Church in Acts started to add titles like, Bishop, Cardinals and then Pope...There is no where in Scripture where the Pastor's wife is called First Lady... We need to be careful about this because the devil seeks those whom he can devour and thus heresy enters into the church. Don't follow the World!!!
