  • Smoked shotgun shells on the Char-Griller 980 gravity fed charcoal smoker! Today I used the KitchenAid sausage stuffing tool to stuff manicotti noodles for stuffed BBQ smoked shotgun shells. It actually worked really well. Once you get in a groove, you could do one every 30 seconds or so...
Doesn't matter if you're smoking on a weber kettle, Masterbuilt, old country, pellet grill like a GMG or Traeger - the KitchenAid is a pretty slick tool for stuffing those shells!
oh - don't use Thick cut bacon! After an hour, the stuffing was cooked but the bacon was raw. Had to kick the smoker up to 500 for a few to finish the bacon.
Still loving my gravity fed charcoal smoker - but I'm always looking for ideas!

Thank you sir! It was more of an experiment to see if it would work... Next time it'll be much improved. But, I learned a lot. It's all about the journey right? Cheers!

Thanks buddy! The second batch with spices and thinner bacon were even better... Super Bowl Sunday here we come!
