The wooden piece that was missing a piece was a puzzle box. The missing piece is what unlocks the piece that enables you to open the box. They are fairly pricey!
The dark brown little pot you found that you called a wall planter is actually for twine. Put a ball of twine (or yarn) and hang it on the wall. The twine hangs out of the nose.

Hi Laura! As a literature teacher I would like to strighten something: Atlas wasn`t a brother of Apollo. He was his great uncle. Atlas was one of the 12 titans, the other one was Prometheus and the other-Kronos, father of Zeus. Zeus was Apollo`s father. I wish you both all the best, especially baskets full of great finds:-)
I am a bag lover. I don’t want people who don’t know much about bags to be able to tell at a glance what bag I am carrying and how much it is worth, whether it is a luxury product or a replica bag *hotdups* .
My husband and I just moved into a renovated 1960's mobile home in Florida. The kitchen has retro updates with those exact same checkered knobs on the kitchen cabinets! They really give a "diner" vibe!!
I am from Oregon and live far away in Florida. I love my weekly dose of Laura and Jesse and all the familiar places and sites. A perfect way to close my work week and start my weekend!
Yeah, when Laura said Oskar Schindler I immediately remembered he had an enamelware factory. I saw the Steven Spielberg movie in a cinema when it came out, I cried so much that when I left the theater I had a massive headache. I have never been able to watch it again, even if it's a masterpiece.
You had me rolling at the end of the video when Laura was trying to quote Paul Harvey. So funny. I was laughing with you, Jesse. You did a great job on your video, Laura.😂
That tennis ball hopper thing also becomes a basket on legs when you fold the legs down. I have a turquoise one in my bathroom that holds toilet paper. I have had it for 30 years.
Laura, you and Jesse would make great tv personalities the way you guys know how to play the camera and bounce off of one another commentating in the intro and during your pickings.
I love that your hubby is on the videos too with you and that he actually goes thrifting with you.😃👍 I went thrifting today and my hubby stayed out in the car..lol
Well girls...my husband is usually the one to suggest going to charity shops nowadays !! Trouble is he's always in the jacket section...how many does one man need??
A suggestion for Atlas….get a large sturdy cardboard box, line with a large garbage bag, then fill it with hamster bedding…use this for your pottery finds…bury them in the bedding and cover to keep from rattling and breaking…
I keep a collapsible crate & sheets of brown packing paper in the trunk of my car for breakable thrift finds. I would make such a mess with hamster bedding, haha😂
Hi Laura, I've been following you for a few years and I absolutely love your channel. May I suggest something that I think many of us would really enjoy and learn from? It would be great if you could style a shelf with all your wonderful finds. I love decorating and styling my shelves with smalls is always a challenge. thanks and my love to you and your hubby.
You two shop great together. It is fun to watch! I can’t get my husband to shop with me much, but he always watches your couples shopping videos with me. It’s a step in the right direction 😂
The blue coffee cup that read "Go way back and sit down", I am guessing that it's suggesting to go way back memory lane... sit down, reminisce, and have some coffee. I love both of your commentary.
I found a set of four wine glasses and carafe Orrefors Intermezzo Blue at a Goodwill in Vancouver still in the original box and wrapped individually in the original tissue paper for $10 a few months ago. One of my favorite finds. I love watching your videos and learning about new brands and artists. The Damascus Goodwill is one of my favorite locations.
Yall passed over so many things... The clear jack in the pulpit vase was so pretty... Sitting here wishing I lived where you guys live, you are so lucky !!! ❤
The black bowl you found looks like black pottery from Oaxaca Mexico which I have a collection of. We’ve been to Oaxaca and visited the neighborhood where black pottery was originally made and is still made there. It was discovered by Dona Rosa and her family. I’ve found a few pieces in thrift stores but the bigger pieces I have I bought in Oaxaca. Great haul😊❤️
I love watching your video's , I learn a lot as well! The brass column candle stick is so beautiful, never seen one before. Great wooden pieces as well.
So funny to see Jesse stuck that rubber band in his pocket cuz just yesterday I did the same thing on the way into my doctor's office. I guess we are both thrifty like that. 😃😃😃😃😃
Hi Laura & Jesse! I love when y’all go thrifting together, the special chemistry that y’all have is so wonderful! Y’all truly compliment each other! Just a note: the small little crockery piece that had “go way back & sit down”(or something similar) was in the shape of an old time chamber pot! Hence the saying around it! This was what I thought it meant! I always have a great time going thrifting with y’all! Have a wonderful time finding treasures and bargains! 😊💕
Laura, I have to tell you that this week I found a Bitossi Aldo Londi cat bank at GW for $1.99! It does have a hairline crack in one ear and it isn't a Bitossi I would pick up if I had the money...but $1.99! I wouldn't have known what it was if I hadn't been watching you for some time.
First of all, Happy New Year to you both! Hope 2025 is a great year for all of us! So, Laura, half the time I feel like reaching into your videos and snatching away some of what you pick because we have some similar taste! I absolutely love Scandinavian design, pottery (my sister is a potter…potterer?…) and I love, love, love Native American silver and turquoise jewelry, etc. (I live in Arizona) and I love the Native baskets. Love watching you thrift! Your videos are fun and educational. I’ve learned so much. Thanks!
Hi Laura! Always a little green-eyed at your fabulous finds 😊 Will you be doing a house update soon? Dying to see how the downstairs powder room turned out, along with your pantry and of course Little Italy! Happy New Year🎉
OMG- that floral vintage yellow/orange couch was in a place I rented in Seward, AK back in 1989. I’m dating myself here. I attended a 14 month Forestry program there. lol.
Great pottery finds, especially the 3 tealish that kinda match and the creamy / gray brutalist bottom pottery piece! You always style everything so perfectly oh and I feel like those knobs are timeless- checkers are like always in. ❤

❤yes it's called the key😊
Yes I just logged on to say the same thing. My mom gave me a couple of those and had jewelry inside. ❤
I did too. 😁
Yes, I have several of these boxes. I traded for them back in the 80s, when I did craft shows. I love them.

Saturday morning (uk), get up, make coffee, and spend half an hour with Laura and Jesse. Perfect way to ease into the day!

So true❣️
Oskar Schindler is the Schindler from the film "Schindler's List." That Christmas tree candleholder could be used with a battery operated candle.
I live in Warsaw Poland. It`s still a city with many sad memories and mementos of the II World War. Poles still remember what had happened.
This alone seems like it would add to the value.
Immediately I knew. I don't think I could buy it. It would make my heart ache to have it in my home.

Your displaying technique is beautifully done!!! Always look forward to the end display of finds!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
