Man at least you get to see them live! I'm also like you in the sense that I watch most reaction videos, but I don't comment too much unless I'm recommending another song, giving an opinion or maybe correcting a reactor. I don't know that much about the band compared to others either. I became a fan only in August last year! The band is just so good and unique that I had to check them out. Now all I need is to see them live, or any band for that matter lol.

Going back to their older catalog shows the progression they have achieved. Wish I was exposed to their music back in 2014. I could go into more detail but Jeffrey will cover that. I don't have the time to write a book.

Seriously, I just found them last Christmas. Seeing people's comments on their videos from 2011 is crushing haha. Like, OMG so many years of having no idea they existed much less how awesome they are! :p
I think it's just the studio recording superimposed over live footage. You can tell because the audio and the singing aren't always synched.

Everything from this album (Cloud Factory) and before is in Drop C. The newer stuff after Dmitriy left is Drop A, so King of Everything to the present. This is when they were more groove metal, heavily influenced by Lamb Of God. For the Drop A stuff, Roman uses a massive 14-68 string gauge. You have to widen your nut grooves quite a bit to make them fit unless you put them on a locking Floyd.

Piling on to what someone else said-earlier songs were usually drop C. Eugene the bassist said they now play drop A. If you like Outlander, check out Cloud Factory (official video). Also "Scissors," "Hypocrites & Critics," "Until the End." All bangers with similar vibe as this, a bit more cleans.

Normally, I prefer the live versions of Jinjer songs, but the most public live version of "Outlander" has kind of a cringe-y moment where some bloke ends up on stage, doesn't know what to do, then nopes out after a few seconds and dives back into the crow. LoL.

Haha. As to their artistic progression, I appreciate that they've been quite good at creating amazing songs at every stage in that progression. I'm blown away by every album. They should re-release Inhale Don't Breathe.
I sugest check Dreadful Moments (Official Live Bootleg) from Jinjer profil. Damn it - She is Perfect.
Now that you've heard the studio version, you "owe" the rest of us a reaction to the real OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO, to hear how even back then they sounded pretty much live as they sounded on the records, the difference being that what you're hearing actually matches what you're seeing. Plus, you have the chance to watch Eugene Mantulin, the drummer who had the unfortunate life-changing accident, performing live.
Speaking of guitar tunings: from the beginning up until the Cloud Factory album, they tuned to drop C. From the King Of Everything album onwards they changed to drop A. The only exception is Who Is Gonna Be The One, which was the first song Tatiana wrote lyrics to after she joined the band, back in 2010, and was originally in drop C, but was adapted to drop A after Dmitriy Oksen (the other guitarist in this video) left the band. It's their oldest song still being included in their setlist.
Currently, when they play live, both Roman and Eugene have a 2nd guitar and bass, respectively, tuned to drop C to play the few older songs that they're still playing live. Eugene uses a 5-string bass for drop A and a 4-string bass for drop C, Roman only plays 6-string guitars and uses the new custom-built baritone from OD Guitars for drop A and his "old" Rhea (also from OD Guitars) for drop C. : )

They are really nice people, and Tati is so very sweet, complete opposite from what you would think after seeing her on stage etc...
They were def more metalcore sounding during this period. They've became more progressive but the thing about Jinjer is that no matter what tune they play it always sounds like them. BTW in the live Who's Gonna be the One reaction you did say you thought it was crazy that he was playing on a 6 string. Most of their stuff is in drop A (Some maybe B or C as i've only seen him swap guitars live a few times).....he uses those wonder "slinky" strings that we all know about ;)
Bro you have to do Captain Clock or No Hoard of Value. They're both "older" in terms of style so you'll freaking love them, especially No Hoard Of Value. The lyric video for that is mind-blowing.
Also if you wanna check out more Motionless In White, since the last one was blocked, please react to Thoughts and Prayers. It's not a single but it's one of the most brutal metalcore songs of 2019. Everything from the lyrics to the breakdown to the speed of the song...br00tal
