Interesting to note: aparrently, Aarakocra die at about age 30. So the wise bird sage that gives you advice might be younger than even the humans in the party.
Much as I like my bird people, I kinda wish they'd bring back the Raptorlings of 3.5. Thought they were interesting, and while I know age isn't an important stat or anything, I much prefer a race of birdmen who can stick around ffg or a while.
I absolutely think that old quadrupedal Aarakocra were cooler than the borning bird-humanoid design 5e goes with. Yes, they also looked like silly parrot-people, but in Dark Sun they looked vultrue-like, and on general note, Warcraft's high arakkoa, clearly inspired by the old design, show that it can too be made cool. Humanoid with wings is just too safe, and loses on cool bits like using feet as hands in combat when flying.
I’m imagining my Storm Sorcerer (who can control the direction of winds around him) journeying to the Plane of Air now. He’s almost Tier 3 now, so maybe it’ll happen some day.

Literally the shortest lived player race
“Oh a new Jorphdan video” 20 seconds in: “I want to die.”
lol!
@@Jorphdan Baldur's Gate 3
25 seconds in, and we already get bird puns. And that's great.
Got the puns. Mentioned dooblydoo. Images on point. Got the lore. = great video.
I made a homebrew Aarakocra Kiwi Varient. He didn’t have any arms of course so we had to use that good ol’ mage hand 🤪
@@cohenjordan5057 man that's freaking amazing!!!!
After learning a LOT more about my characters’ race, I gotta change my virtual character sheet.
I gotta add few things but changing anything wouldn't fit my backstory
Honestly, one of my favorite things about Jorphdan's videos are the captions. Thank You
The 50 ft. flying speed means I'll never find a DM who'll let me play one
I think straight up banning race instead working it out with player is nad DMing, I crippled mine but eventually I want to fly (if I survive)
@@realdragon I ended up making a robin Robin. Lots of fun, no nerf required.
Ahhhh!! I failed my save against Jorphdan’s Hideous Punnapalooza!!!
I see you are have fully tranformed into a dad
Getting there! :D
The wind Dukes of Aqaa seems like a mix between djinn and storm giants. Do they have any relation to either of them?
Nope, Vaati are a air elemental race of their own, and are quite distinct from them by being innately Lawful.
Interesting, they could be a cool addition in a campaign on the plane of air, as a contrasting faction to the Djinn
"Aarakocra are smart and live mainly in solitude with other aarakocra"
Me: lmafo birb himbo
I hope I will run into Aarakocra in ToA because I play one

You Forgot that if you get 5 of them together they can have a dance party and Call up an Air Elemental Friend.
Those PUNS where Purrfect.... for a cat to eat!
Yes to a video over Maztica
Nice puns
the puns hurt
He was clearly just winging it.
You are a funny funny man Jorphdan. 😂🤣🤘🏼
Just a question: Do you research and write a script or do you just remember the stuff of all of your videos?
I write a script! My resources for the video are in the description!
So, no mention of Syranita? : (
I did an ranger, basically played him like a winged horse archer
BROOOOOOO!!!! TOP! NOTCH! OPENING PUNS! 😂😂😂😂😂
So, what is an aarakocra gets infected by a wereraven?
A more monstrous birb
Full birb
I recently saw a video on harpies and 3 of us were going bonkers with bird puns. 20 comments deep
I watch a **** guide to races and was hooked
Would love to see a video of destinations again
Maybe Djerad Thymar on its population of dragonborn ?
On point puns!!
😎😏😎😏
How & what do they eat? How do they interact with the other races?
Cool vid.
why not mention avariels in the video about races of faerun with elves?
The first pic looked more like an trbal assimar than an arracocra.
>listens to the litany of bird puns
>unsubscribes
>reports for hate speech
;)
😯 😎
So. Many. Puns... AAAAAHHHHH
Can you do a somewhat summary of the giants please?
a lot of my earlier videos touch on this, but perhaps a "giant" video would be in order.
Pretty sure that's an Air Genasi and not Aerdrie Faenya
Dank

Yea I think there should be options for more monsterois races, as for colours you can choose whatever you want necause birds irl look vastly different

Clicked off because of the puntro
Jk
Jorphdan, time to grow your channel. Make a Baldur's Gate 3 video....
Lost me after a minute of fluff :(
