Hello , I have this same model ''metabolic BAS 261'' and got very frustrated cutting the same round circles ! after watching this tutorial, you saved all my problems , new subscriber !
Thank you, Uli. If you have BAS 261, also pay attention to quality of bolts in the bearings. I find bolts with lower quality that quickly licked off and I replaced them. You are welcome to join mu channel. Have a nice day and best regards from Macedonia.

Hello, Hag. Well, it is very nice for that price. And for me, hobby user, I cant see any better model here in my country Macedonia. You can use only 12 and 6 mm blade for this one, so for smaller radiuses probably you will need scroll saw also. This tool also needs a lot of adjustments, it is not plug and play tool. Best regards, Orce.
@@orce_MKD Thanks for the feedback 🥳 The main reason I want it is for resawing and avoiding stupid cuts on the table saw 😄 If I end up getting one I’ll definitely revisit your videos! They were really informative and well made
@@Hagearkitektur , just one note. this tool is not good solution for reaswing. It takes too long, cut in not strait like on table saw. I still use table saw for resawing, much better. This one is for smaller, precision cuts. Have e nice evening.

I probably tensioned the blade too much, and ran the belt off the wheels. The machine immediately stopped (good) but now i can't press the stop or start buttons. Does anyone know how to re-set it after this fault? i have googled and seen other people with the same issue
Hello, Karstenhoff, sorry for late response. Now I am back from holiday and strait to my daily routine. About your problem, first about blade slipping from wheels, it happens to me also, machine stopped few times, but I have not seen any problems in STOP/START button. One question, is your light bulb above the saw working? Just to check if there is power on the machine. I am planning next week to work whit my bandsaw, if I see some solution, will contact you. But, I presume that switch that signaled machine to stop working maybe is not returned to its original position. Try moving upper wheel up and down, since lover is in fixed position. I will contact you if I have some solution. Best regards, Orce
@@orce_MKD i think the sudden stop just jerked things a bit out of position. After closing the doors again while pressing directly over the door closing sensors I got it working again
hello there, you can adjust only the upper guide using the 3 upper screws, you don't need to touch the down screws The teeth have to be a little bit outside the rubber, if you make the tension, as you say, you going to ruin the teeth and rubber aswell Last thing, for curved cut, the guard has to stay up, to permeit more flexibility for the blade... you have a good explanation, but wrong concepts. greetings
