Looping has progressed to the point where one can make EDM at the level of producers, and songs at the level of artists. And it’s done only with the human voice LIVE. Loopers will in the near future be playing at festivals, mark my words. EDIT: yes I know that a few loopers have played at festivals in the past, but it's far from the majority, with the way loopstation is going right now I believe a larger number will.

I mean they just assign points based on the judging criteria and add them up. Both are amazing for sure, but I think Robin will pick up some extra points in categories like showmanship and end up taking it, but I dunno if the judges will see big gaps in other areas.
@@NZLDevil I totally disagree. I believe the best songs made on loop are also entertaining in the "buildup" phase (Saro's loop rounds, for example). Robin's entire track was meditative and beautiful. But I actually found his drop to be weak in comparison to the entire rest of the track.
Both of them are such an amazing artist. Robin showed us how beautiful and cozy the art of loopstation can really be and Frosty showed us how dark and aggressive it can be. Too bad only one of the artist can win. Whoever the judges choose, I will support their decisions.
1 - For me, this is Robin's. He's a battle monster. No mistakes and brillant musicality. 2 - Frosty is the future of looping. His 2nd round will certainly be on placed on top tracks . This track could be played on a GBB final, easily. 3 - (and most important) Frosty is a real looper, dispite what Robin said on his 1st round. Maybe he is one of the bests out there. He's creativity and hability with production are so special. I think that Frousty could answer that diss with a proper response.

Who's ever gonna win this one.... It will never be fair. I could see both of them win this one. The level of loopstation became so high and this is just the start of the mk2. Both made amazing music and there is just no way you can judge this. Its all gonna depend on the judges music taste. (and unfortunate some judges are still making there decision based on that they prefer only the mk2 instead of a 2nd device, aka not fair results) But besides that.... I really enjoyed this battle and both shocked me with there 2nd rounds in a different way. Goodluck to both of you and I can't wait for the results!! 😁🔥
This makes me feel so amazed about how much the beatbox community has developed in the past few years. I'm happy to be able to hear such incredible pieces from Robin and Frosty. This is only quarterfinal although it feels like a real final, BIG UPS!
This was a good battle. Personally my vote would go to Robin. His creativity is top notch and the way he utilizes the 505 is spectacular. He is a master of actually "looping" with the machine and both of his rounds were beautifully done.

I totally respects everyone's opinion about these rounds, and I agree with most of you in here in terms of the track that it comes to personal preference on who would win this battle. However, considering this is a video battle as well, Robin will win this one 100% in my opinion. I mean come on, the man records a track on top of a driving car, if that that's blow 'showmanship' points off the charts idk what will.
I strongly agree, if it was just a gut decision its close, but I feel like when you go through the categories and add up the points Robin wins easy. If anyone neglects some of the categories they're leaving themself very vulnerable for their opponent to grab the easy points, you can't win on showmanship alone, but ignore it an you'll fall behind. Robin went above and beyond in all categories I think, and even if Frosty scores higher in some areas, I don't think it will be close overall. The point of a competition like Kickback is to explore other possibilities when battling online, if people don't do that, it becomes just a second rate GBB without a crowd. The judging will favor competitors who make great musical video battles, and Robin I think clearly did that.

I remember GBB 2019, when Soso was against Beatness. I honestly felt that conflicting emotion of who to vote because of their differing styles. Nevertheless, both Frosty and Robin were hella good here.

The more I listen to this battle the more I realize Robins second round is the greatest loopstation round ever created. Not even Saros drop against MB14 can top this level musical genius. Frostys second round is not far behind, his track was pure destruction, but human psychology will draw us to the voce, the emotion, you can just feel it. @@Megelos i personally feel Robin's first round was weak and repetitive to a certain degree. For the second one, I believe it's a tougher call because frosty had high energy and had me jumping throughout whereas Robin's song had a slow and nice buildup which paid off in the end. It's a close call but I'd pick frosty here.
This battle was EPIC! literally feels like a final. Frosty is a savage but there's something about the human emotion in Robin's rounds that you can connect with and take you to another place. For me this was very close but Robin has the win

Both were insane, but for me there is something really special about Robin second round. It literally felt like it came from a movie ... The emotion and atmosphere were just out of this world. Didn't feel like a round for a competition but more like a message ... One of the best thing i heard in Loop, and the best of Robin to me. Great Stuff. And the video where he is travelling around nature on top of the car add so much to it. In the end it really come to the taste of each person to judge this. Both were at the peak.
i see this being a split decision, i think inkie will vote frosty, saro will vote robin, and rythmind is a toss up. their styles are so different, and both are top tier at what they do! my vote personally is frosty because of my preference of styles. however, i wouldnt be mad if robin won. i guess the judging all depends on the score cards too, not sure if theyre doing total points, or just each judge votes for who they gave more points to. if its completely points based, i think robin will win, as frosty had more that he could improve on, such as the mix, especialy for the vocal parts, they were quite pushed back.

Why is it so clear for you? Is it because you only see the competition as who can make the more intense beats? If so, you really aren’t a fan of beatbox. Yes frosty’s was a more epic round, but Robin displayed equal levels of skill with his device, and destroyed him in complexity by singing and also easily won showmanship

Im not a judge either I just express my feeling after I've heard the battle and for me its frosty. Robin is very skilled and I love his stuff but I've heard it so many times now im not too impressed anymore
every-time I remember that looping and beatboxing (specially looping) have no limit I feel hyped for the future, every-time we see a mind-blowing level it would be nothing compared to the level we are going to. I love beatbox.
I feel sorry for the judges now, who have to judge this battle and the other battles to come; if the level has been raised this high in the first battle, I can't imagine how hard it would be for them judges to choose in the upcoming ones. Idk I feel like frosty's second might be the best loop routine I've heard. I can see how Robin might win this (more points in musicality and a bit of French bias :) ) but overall thinking frosty deserves this. Frosty's rounds all are unique in their own ways. He has the unexpected factor brez talks about with Kristof and psn. His sound designs are off the charts. This power and aggressiveness shows the true colors of a battle. Frosty had short buildups and multiple drops on every routine he had. Don't get me wrong Robin is a phenomenal looper, but there are no unexpected factors about his rounds, on his second round he starts off with an awesome "violin" that sadly was only layered with singing and harmonies( for 2 min and 40 seconds) until the last 50 seconds and happened to finally make a drop beat. His sound designs aren't as great as frosty's. The only category Robin wins in MY OPINION is musicality. And musicality is not the only thing in a battle therefore, frosty wins. This should be treated like villain vs dudz. Villain wins because he excelled in other categories that is not musicality. Meanwhile dudz only excelled in that category
Personally I think Frosty is a better battler but in terms of wildcards/showcase i think robin takes it.... Although here, they both dominate their strengths and fields of music... It's truly incredible to see how this battle has unfolded. They're both very good artists. It could go either way. I agree in that Frosty's round may be the best. They both had my jaw dropped.

Why there is only 1 competition? Should do 2 categories, the first would be a single loop, the second one would be mixing loop. Basically, my opinion is that Frosty is doing very good music, but it's too far away from "Loopstation" regarding the past. Today, I witness how professional mixing loop is on sound engineering, however, to have "loop station skills" you must put human noises and beatboxing on the first place of priority to make the music. But with a "no restriction category" it would be more clear and less frustrating for us.
For me, is just impossible to decide, i hope the judges can make a decision, cuz for me it could go either way, and i'm sure i'll feel sad for the one who lose this battle, cuz both are so good.
I have to say that i absoluteley love Robins stuff and normally Frostys Loopstation rounds arent really my taste but both Rounds of Frosty are absolutely insane and definitely belong to my favourite Loopstation Rounds of all Time espeacially the second Round is incredible

This is going to sound very cheesy but I can't in any way say that one is better than the other here as they are both such masters, absolute beasts at their craft. Frosty blows my mind with his depth, accuracy and creativity. Robin blows my mind with his depth of soul, range, vocals, the emotion I feel from his music... Stunning. The two of you are an absolute privilege to watch again and again and again and again.
Frosty vs Robin and KBA vs Robin are videos that I watch everyday. Frosty's second round, Robin's second round vs KBA and KBA's first round are the best of kbb
I can respect either winning but I think people miss the consistency of rounds. Frosty gave us 2 competition winning routines, Robin gave us 1 good routine and one competitive one. I enjoyed them both, but the first round was simple and repetitive. I think the big differenece is Frosty had well produced rounds, with unreal sound design and movement to the song. If we omit "showmanship" (swapping your backdrop), then this should go to Frosty.
OK guys let me tell you how I feel right now. Im listening to beatbox for probably 10 years or so. And not gonna lie im hella sick of always hearing build up then fat drop. It feels so good some musicality ! Robin your round made me cry, I kinda felt what you were doing here. Thank you for this pure and beautiful music. Esh.
At first I was leaning a little towards frosty but after re listening to both of the last rounds about 10 times Robin's 2nd round still gives me goosebumps and it stands out so much, I love it.

Robins musicality is off the charts.
Both were insane, but for me there is something really special about Robin second round. It literally felt like it came from a movie ... The emotion and atmosphere were just out of this world. Didn't feel like a round for a competition but more like a message ... One of the best thing i heard in Loop, and the best of Robin to me. Great Stuff. And the video where he is travelling around nature on top of the car add so much to it.
In the end it really come to the taste of each person to judge this. Both were at the peak.
i see this being a split decision, i think inkie will vote frosty, saro will vote robin, and rythmind is a toss up.
their styles are so different, and both are top tier at what they do! my vote personally is frosty because of my preference of styles. however, i wouldnt be mad if robin won.
i guess the judging all depends on the score cards too, not sure if theyre doing total points, or just each judge votes for who they gave more points to. if its completely points based, i think robin will win, as frosty had more that he could improve on, such as the mix, especialy for the vocal parts, they were quite pushed back.

Why is it so clear for you? Is it because you only see the competition as who can make the more intense beats? If so, you really aren’t a fan of beatbox. Yes frosty’s was a more epic round, but Robin displayed equal levels of skill with his device, and destroyed him in complexity by singing and also easily won showmanship
@@Neon1880 Ive been a fan of beatboxing since 2017. Thats 4 years now and it may not be much but it is more than some people for sure. You make it sound like you're a judge and you clearly aren't. Im not a judge either I just express my feeling after I've heard the battle and for me its frosty. Robin is very skilled and I love his stuff but I've heard it so many times now im not too impressed anymore

every-time I remember that looping and beatboxing (specially looping) have no limit I feel hyped for the future, every-time we see a mind-blowing level it would be nothing compared to the level we are going to.

I feel sorry for the judges now, who have to judge this battle and the other battles to come; if the level has been raised this high in the first battle, I can't imagine how hard it would be for them judges to choose in the upcoming ones. Idk I feel like frosty's second might be the best loop routine I've heard. I can see how Robin might win this (more points in musicality and a bit of French bias :) ) but overall thinking frosty deserves this. Frosty's rounds all are unique in their own ways. He has the unexpected factor brez talks about with Kristof and psn. His sound designs are off the charts. This power and aggressiveness shows the true colors of a battle. Frosty had short buildups and multiple drops on every routine he had. Don't get me wrong Robin is a phenomenal looper, but there are no unexpected factors about his rounds, on his second round he starts off with an awesome "violin" that sadly was only layered with singing and harmonies( for 2 min and 40 seconds) until the last 50 seconds and happened to finally make a drop beat. His sound designs aren't as great as frosty's. The only category Robin wins in MY OPINION is musicality. And musicality is not the only thing in a battle therefore, frosty wins. This should be treated like villain vs dudz. Villain wins because he excelled in other categories that is not musicality. Meanwhile dudz only excelled in that category

Personally I think Frosty is a better battler but in terms of wildcards/showcase i think robin takes it.... Although here, they both dominate their strengths and fields of music... It's truly incredible to see how this battle has unfolded. They're both very good artists. It could go either way. I agree in that Frosty's round may be the best. They both had my jaw dropped.

@@abhanshusingh6333 sound design, sound mixing, dynamics, are important criterias too. I don't exactly know all the looping criterias to score points in but frosty was better in those categories imo, whereas Robin was better in musicality and showcase

The fact that robin can keep up at the same level with just one device is telling enough.
Why there is only 1 competition? Should do 2 categories, the first would be a single loop, the second one would be mixing loop.
Basically, my opinion is that Frosty is doing very good music, but it's too far away from "Loopstation" regarding the past.
Today, I witness how professional mixing loop is on sound engineering, however, to have "loop station skills" you must put human noises and beatboxing on the first place of priority to make the music.
But with a "no restriction category" it would be more clear and less frustrating for us.

I have to say that i absoluteley love Robins stuff and normally Frostys Loopstation rounds arent really my taste but both Rounds of Frosty are absolutely insane and definitely belong to my favourite Loopstation Rounds of all Time espeacially the second Round is incredible

This is going to sound very cheesy but I can't in any way say that one is better than the other here as they are both such masters, absolute beasts at their craft. Frosty blows my mind with his depth, accuracy and creativity. Robin blows my mind with his depth of soul, range, vocals, the emotion I feel from his music... Stunning. The two of you are an absolute privilege to watch again and again and again and again.

I can respect either winning but I think people miss the consistency of rounds. Frosty gave us 2 competition winning routines, Robin gave us 1 good routine and one competitive one. I enjoyed them both, but the first round was simple and repetitive. I think the big differenece is Frosty had well produced rounds, with unreal sound design and movement to the song. If we omit "showmanship" (swapping your backdrop), then this should go to Frosty.
If you ask me how music will be in 2050 then I'll suggest you this battle 😱😱😱😱

At first I was leaning a little towards frosty but after re listening to both of the last rounds about 10 times Robin's 2nd round still gives me goosebumps and it stands out so much, I love it.

I tried to be as fair as possible in giving points, I even feel biased towards Robin bc I like his music so much but I think Frosty took this one. Either way it’s incredibly close (I mean half a point in my judging I’m sure it’ll also be close for the judges) and both smashed it.
