Kisame is a guy who follows orders and has a reckoning when visited by Obito a guy who thinks all that is a load of kaguya first appearance.
I actually would’ve liked to see a fight between Fuguki and Kisame, Fuguki was a member of the strongest gen of the seven ninja swordsman of the mist, so odds are Kisame would’ve lost (considering he decided to wait till he dropped his guard rather than fight him head on) but it would’ve been and interesting match.

Why did the Leaf Village attack the Mist Village?
The mist and the leaf always had beef this was prolly around the right after war times because that dude w the scars was bald during naruto part 1 or if you go by the change when itachi joined the akatsuki first.
Also this was when they were known as blood mist village where they had no agreements with the other villlages. Despite the villages signing a treaty they all were thirsty to have more power like how the cloud ninja tried to steal hinata’s byakugan. The leaf tried to become friends w the sand only to find out that the kazekage allied w orochimaru at the time to plan a attack.
So you could say every village were trying to get more dominance over the other after the 3rd great ninja war through secret tactics rather than fighting in a warzone.
In manga Might Dai killed 6 out of 7 but in anime 4 out of 7 thats mean juzo,samehada wielder,other sword wielder alive. So they just covered plothole
