I'm actually quite confused with 8 Gates formation. I thought it was a one time power boost and the only way to use it again is to open the next gate.
I guess the gates closes after some time and you have to open them again to get the power boost.
I don't understand you, he used the 7 gate to win against kisame, but the only time he uses the 8 gate is against Madara, and he would have died of it wasn't for Naruto
Ok treat it as kaioken and ssj3 they use up alot of energy and puts a strain on the body while using it and after so the stronger you get and train your body to handle it the longer and more times you can use it
8 gates, and the 8th one is called Death Gate. you can use 1st-7th gate everytime, well not everytime. the effect after 6/7 gate maybe kinda hurt so you need some time to recover. but 8th gate is use all chakra to your heart, even the punch itself gives an effect like your bones broken. that's why it called Death Gate, because nothing left to your body if you use everything while activate it

Those guys were trying to seal ninle tail whereas madara kept nine tail as his pet or his guard dog. Nine tail would have been tamed with madara uchiha within a second.

To be fair, Guy is like the ultimate foil for Kisame. Even without Samehada most of his jutsus absorbed chakra and Guy's techniques are mostly taijutsu.

If a host dies, the tailed beast (or its chakra) is released, but it takes some time till it can manifest itself again. That’s how it works if I remember correctly.
