Well said. We are flawed, imperfect, sometimes irrational, and human like him but we also strive to do good and live as Christ did, like him.

Iove on how they present the real struggles on how following Jesus feels like. Sometimes you cannot help yourself to compare when Jesus help others rather than you 😔

I think my favourite scene of all. How many times have I had the same argument over many situations when bad things happen to good people. 💕

    • @4krider20
      @4krider20 ปีที่แล้ว +3

The answer to why bad things happen to good people is the following. First of all there are no good people; all are bad people - sinners. The reason suffering come into a person life is because GOD is wanting to forgive you of something. So he sends you an opportunity to forgive someone because the law is you must first forgive to receive forgiveness - forgive and you shall be forgiven - Sermon on the Mount. To achieve this, one must suffer a trespass, one must be harmed in some way which will give you the opportunity to forgive someone of the trespass. So a trial come into your life so you can forgive the offence and then GOD can act on your behalf to forgive you of your trespasses. If you never receive a trial you never have the opportunity to forgive which blocks GOD from acting on your behalf. Take advantage of these opportunities to forgive people and you'll find GOD forgiving you and making your way easier.

@@4krider20 what if there is nobody to forgive like in Eden’s trial. Whose to blame for her loss? Not God and certainly not her or Simon who didn’t want this. Bad things happen to good people and undeserving yet there are some people who don’t even look for a child or don’t even want them and accidentally get pregnant and don’t even want the child but they get them. Life is just cruel sometimes

@@brendabenitez7359 Hi Brenda, what a lovely smile you have. Don’t let it worry you too much. Yes life is cruel, but this is what Adam and Eve choose for all of us- to experience a life with good, evil and cruel experiences. So now all of us must go through this life, at some point, where each one of us can experience both good and evil. This life was not meant to be a good life. In this life you will have tribulations as evil is a foot. The life where only good exist is coming in the future. Meanwhile, if you get confused just follow the rule “Forgive and you will be forgiven”, it will serve you well and GOD will be pleased. You don’t have to understand it. GOD loves you and he has something he is wanting to forgive you for. GOD has allowed you to be tested to see if you will do his will. And remember, there is no such a thing as a good person and that means everyone is bad and needs forgiveness. Cheers.

That is so true. I have thought about it a lot, why St John is beloved and two things I thought. One is because of his love. Second is because he was there during the Passion, was with Jesus the entire way and consoled the Blessed Virgin Mary during the Passion.

Maybe I love Simon because I can be hot tempered also. My heart breaks for him in this scene. Those moments in life when you do all you can for the glory of Jesus and then...when you hope for good in your life the thorns come. That age old question of Why, God? Why did you let this happen? I love you. Why must I suffer and then Jesus reminds us in His word that the Father prunes us to help us produce more fruit. That when we go through such hard times it is to strengthen our faith in who He is (this brings us closer to Him), as a testimony to others (to help heal them), and for His glory (to be manifested in the Earth). The Chosen so beautifully expresses this from season to season time and time again. He knows pain, he fully understands it. Even the Bible says that Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered. This scene is beautiful and perfect and what we need to hear. Both sides of the pain of life and comfort we can find in Christ alone.

How? What is he doing married yet? Jesús path is long, lonely, painful. Means give Up to your Life as you were used and sacrifice everything. Peter is stupid. You can not live having kids and making all what Jesús is preparing for him outside in many countries where he had to travel. The chastity is necessary if you are his Apostle

His faith was so strong..... "He is who he says He is, I don't believe it I know it" wow such a beautiful line😍 This faith made him walk on the water(even in scripture). This faith made him to follow Jesu to the high priest's house eventhough he knew he would be in grave danger... ALL I JUST WANT TO HAVE IS A FAITH LIKE ST.PETER'S.

John did not have the most peaceful life. None did. All were martyred except for Judas and John but many tried to kill John, Jesus spared and protected him so that he would fulfill and have the vision which he wrote in the final book ... Revelation. He was exiled in prison on the island of Patmos at the time.

In a certain point, there is a reason why he earned the title as "Beloved". I mean, considering he is one of the disciples that next to John had to learn in many ocassions (Like the Sons of Thunder). Not to mention he was the only Disciple who was with him during the crucificion and also despite the hard times he had during his persecution and being the last one alive, he was the one who God granted him the visions of Revelations and among other things.

Why didn't God help? If I were Simon I would have felt so betrayed and used and mocked and stupid and angry. If I watched correctly, Simon said his wife had a miscarriage while Simon was gone to go with Jesus.
If a doctor who forsee that that would happen, who was able to help, but decided not to: it would have been a criminal offence, it would have been immoral and inhumane. So why did God do exactly that? Why did God call Simon to follow him on that day, instead of wait a later later so that Simon could have been there to support his wife at least emotionally? Also, God would know in advance that Eden would have a miscarriage, and not only not lift a finger to help, God omitted that information from Simon, and even worse didn't have a heart to delay the trip by a day so that at least Simon could be there to offer emotional support to his wife. Also, God didn't even communicate that to Simon so that Simon could consent or decide whether to follow God or not follow God, or delay it a day later. Why did God use Simon and abuse his trust and omit information from him like that ? Why didn't God even bother to communicate?
If a person did that to you that would have been narcissistic and abusive. So why did God do that?
I know he is Love and Truth and Sacrifice and Altruism and all that but a lot of what he does or doesn't do, make no sense to me. If a friend I trusted did this to me I would have felt so betrayed, used, abused, and I would feel like a stupid brainwashed pawn.
God, can you please explain why you can be so endlessly cruel, aloof, and at the same time altruistic and merciful? None of this makes any sense. If this were a human relationship I would run for the hills, it's so confusing, like a bi-polar disorder, betraying and abusive. I've been crying for days and I'm so lost as to why God have such duality and play us around like that. Why can't he just be consistent and healthy?
Sure humans are shitty and greedy and unpredictable and all sorts of cruelty but why is God? Why can't he be consistently kind and communicate better and kinder? This is so heartbreaking. I am sorry for my sins and for saying this but I cannot lie. I need answers, please, God.

This isn't biblical. At all. We hear nothing of Simon's wife in Scripture. but God does allow things that we can't understand. Me and my wife had a stillbirth 3 months ago. Through it i couldn't be angry at God even though i couldn't understand why as i held my baby girl. But i knew that we are in a fallen state. Death is still real but it has lost its sting because Christ has overcome it. I will stand one day with my daughter in worship of our God Yhwh. It doesn't change the heart break and pain or the asking of why but i trust God can use all things for the good of those who love him.
You made moral claims and we as humans do growing up in a society of morality based on Christian morals. But we can not look at Yhwh and claim anything the Creator did is immoral. He allows pain for a short while. He allows suffering for a season. He allows these things to build us and make us stronger and closer to him and he uses it for his glory. I do know he is Good because every day he has every right to wipe out humanity who curse and mock him and follow false gods but each moment he has mercy on them desiring that all be saved. We may struggle but we can cling to him through it knowing he will make all things new.
Revelation 21 our God says he makes all things new.
      ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:4‭-‬8‬ ‭LSB‬‬
[4] and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain. The first things passed away.” [5] And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” [6] Then He said to me, “They are done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. [7] He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son.
In the hospital, while looking at my daughter this was what i kept thinking of
