Happy new year! Reason I always make 1 last cast 😂 is because you just never know. I hate getting a rats nest especially early in the morning on those 1st few casts. So frustrating. You get there early do some early morning dark hiking and you reward yourself w/a rats nest lol. It frustrates me so much but still better than sitting on the couch
It sucks getting a rat nest on those Bait casting reels. I still like them because you got so much more control with them. That was a nice fish how long and how much do you think it weight?
@@AutomagicFishing yes they do. One more thing to dangle imo is not worth the effort. A lost fish is acceptable, getting hung up on branches etc is not
I would say they are equal, that’s like asking somebody the difference between what a deer and an elk taste like… They both venison meat They’re definitely is a different taste to Steelhead from Sam On, though, I like them equally
Rocco nice fish. Brian great action thanks for sharing. Wishing you both a great year and hope to see more episodes.
Thanks, you too!
Nice fish! Seems like the water's still high, but you guys are still able to pull fish out of the water! Right on!
Fish are definitely the key factor, it doesn’t matter what the water is like if the fish are not there
Rocco nails one! Pops the cherry on a new rod in style! Well done, gentlemen!
That rod has a sweet action for sure!! I’m sure it’ll catch him tons of tail!

lol 😂 you described it perfectly!! Still a great day!!
Gotta love slinky’s
Slinky’s are pretty great
Great video! this run hasn’t really showed I feel like. we bonked 2 a few days ago but besides that it hasn’t been on fire. They’ll show soon.
I think you’re right, they will start showing up soon
Cool hookup on the spinner!
Yeah, that’s the first of two that I have lost in this last week where I hooked them with a spinner
Love to drift fish, caught many a fish that way
Seems like drift fishing is a productive way to catch fish
I thought only I left with less line than I came with..lol
It was really frustrating!!
I think that's the secret, bring a new rod everytime.
I like the sound of that secret weapon, always fish a new rod
Happy new year Brian
Thank you, Pete, happy new year to you too

25-26” 5lb
no net, imagine that
No net, lots of people catch fish with out nets

OK, Brian, which taste better to you steelhead or salmon?
@@BarbieNOregon salmon
well it’s been a while, but I actually think I prefer the steelhead. But I’ve never caught one myself. That’s my goal this year.
