    Love Home Free. This is an original song that they just remade. Home Free does not have a lead singer…you’ve just happened to see songs with them as the leads. Ok, here’s the list: Rob (glasses and big beard) tenor. Austin (redhead) high tenor. Tim (gray streak in hair) bass. Chance (ball cap) baritone/bass. Adam (short blond hair w/ sunglasses) beatboxer. They are incredibly talented singers/songwriters. Austin, Tim and Chance write the music for the band and they also do a lot of covers. Unfortunately, this is the last video with Austin. He was newly married and wants to stay home and start a family. He’s been with the group for 11 years. He’s been replaced by a new singer Bastien (pronounced bass-teen). He’s a tenor and also a songwriter. They have an introductory video with him briefly. Songs with more of a bass lead….I Can’t Outrun You, Brothers in Arms, Land of the Free, Helplessly Hoping. They’re great songs. Good reaction!!!

      If chance gets to be a baritone/bass, why can't tim be a bass/baratone/tenor? Haha

      LOL, he does have a wide range! @babyfry4775 - Thanks for the introductions, I will do my best to learn the names. The fact they write their own music is huge... very .large... :)

    Great reaction and yes, please react to more #HomeFree! They have such a diverse catalogue of various genres and wonderful songs/videos and not a bad one in the bunch! This was their last video with Austin Brown and their next (newest) video just came out last week with their newest member, Adam "Bastien" - Something to Talk About (the Bonnie Raitt cover), which is also fantastic!
    As others have mentioned, they do not have a lead - all but Adam Rupp (the beatboxer) take the lead or share the lead, depending on the song and all have amazing voices - including Adam Rupp (he sings when songs are better suited to 5-part vocals only, but prefers not to take the lead). Please keep going down this rabbit hole and you will quickly discover they never disappoint!

      I just shot the reaction video for their newest one! Look forward to it. Yes, I do see they all have their moments to shine. Man of Constant Sorrow was a great example of that.

    The group started in 2000/2001( there’s contention on the year)by brothers Chris and Adam Rupp
    They won The Sing Off season 4 2013 that's where they became very popular.
    There is no Lead singer in the group.They each ( except Adam )sing the song and who’s ever voice or voices sound right for the song gets the lead unless is a bass/ baritone song then that’s Tim or Chance.A lot of time they each have a part in the song.
    Adam Rupp: Beatboxer Extraordinaire can make almost any sound imaginable (A whole drum kit, harmonica (his Nomonica we call it )plane flyovers, trains, castanets, bugs ,birds etc).Co founder from Mankato Minnesota.
    Rob Lundquist :Lead tenor(beard and glasses) Very soulful voice and master whistler from Minneapolis,Minnesota
    Tim Foust :Bass (had long dark hair now short with grey ) 5+ octave range can go so low he blows speakers or sky high from Nederland,Texas
    Austin Brown:High Tenor ( Long wavy hair )Voice of an angel from Tifton Georgia.He has left the group and Adam Bastien took his place June 21 He is from Detroit,MI
    Adam Chance(Aka Chance):Baritone/Bass Deep,rich voice(Does the juice harp sound in Man Of Constant Sorrow) has short dark hair short beard from Baldwin County,Alabama.Takes over bass when Tim sings lead Replaced Chris Rupp ( Adams Brother and co founder in 2016)

      What a great summary and introduction to the members! So Adam Rupp is the Rob Windslow of music then. That is amazing. This is not the first song so I do know Tim, did NOT know he had a 5-octave range... would love to see him do a work with Geoff Castelucci then. That would be insane. Rob's whistling. Yeah, so jealous, I always wanted to whistle, just... yeah... All the members have a ton of talent. I have enjoyed the songs I have heard from them, just need to expand what I do hear.

      That seems to be what I am learning, VoicePlay just released a couple where Layne was singing instead of beatboxing... I am coming to the realization that beatboxers do just that because singing is just too easy for them and want to use their voice on a whole new level as an instrument.

  • @dianadickerson749
    @dianadickerson749 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Actually, you have 5 tenors, 2 high, Tim and Bastian (the newest member), Rob is next Chance. You have 5 beatboxers , Adam Rupp, and Adam Bastian both do the no monica, Adam Chance does the jaw/mouth harp. 2 basses, when Tim is lead, Chance does that bass, 3 baritones, Tim, Chance and Rob ( who's classically trained in opera, him and Austin did Nessum Dorma, a must listen. The only one i believe who doesn't play an instrument is Rob. Tgey group HomeFree has been around for 25 years.

      So basically, what you are saying, they could play 52 card pick up with all their members, roles, etc. for a song, and they would pull it off. Hmmm, that would be something to have them do and then choose a song with how the cards may land. They are fun enough; they could probably do just that.

    Just subscribed with hopes for more Home Free. They are the best! You've only just scratched the surface. All of them are lead singers. They all have amazing vocal ranges and Adam, the beatboxer, can't be beat. . Oh, and they can all beatbox to some degree. Suggestions; "Adam Rupp's Drum Solo ", " Yours " ( Adam Chance lead), "In the Blood" ( Tim lead), "When a Man Loves a Woman " ( Austin lead) " Catch Me if you Can " ( Rob lead). " Moving On" ( Chris Rupp, founder of Home Free and the beatboxer's brother lead-right before he left and they picked Adam Chance to fill his spot) Thanks for the Home Free reactions.

      Another one (not with Adam Rupp HF’s BB) that has a bit of a beatbox off is:
      “Voiceplay VS Corner Street Symphony - Don’t”
      Corner Street Symphony was Adam Chance (here the guy in the baseball cap)’s previous band where he was the bass singer. My favourite of theirs is their cover of “Muse- Madness.

    They have 4 singers, 5 when Adam Rupp sings instead of beatboxing. They have 5 tenors, 5 beatboxers, 2 bass singers. The 4 main singers all take turns singing lead according to who sounds best on a certain song. To get an idea of the 5 singing with no beatboxer, here are 3 excellent examples: How Great Thou Art where Adam Rupp the beatboxer has a brief solo, Helplessy Hoping, and Brothers in Arms. They can be serious or humorous. They don't take themselves too seriously and there are videos where they have bloopers while performing live that are filmed by members of the audience. They appreciate their fans and sometimes include them in videos (Everybody Walking This Land is a prime example). The Home Free fans are known as home fries.

    • @ESClone27
      @ESClone27  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmm, might have to react to How Great Thou Art as I do sing that as a warmup at karaoke sometimes. Elvis's version tho. As for the serious vs humors, I can totally see that. it is very, very apparent they do this because it is fun to them. That is the thing, if you do something you enjoy, it's not work, not a chore, and certainly not forced.

    I can see you have been told already, but there is no "lead" singe...any one can take a lead depending on whose voice fits the song the best. They can all do limited beat boxing and sounds like Chance does the "jaw harp" sound in "Man of Constant Sorrow" and Austin often does the plucky guitar sound. Check out the 9 to 5 live with beatbox breakdown for another example of how good these guys are.

      My introduction to this group was the song "Man of Constant Sorrow". Knowing they were an acapella group I had no doubts of the harmonica, mouth harp, dijiri do from (Australia?) I believe.
