I upgraded to the reserve after having the preferred for a year. I absolutely love the reserve. I used the travel credit beginning of July and now it’s ready to use again.
@@wilsoncaravantes4033nope I just asked this question to Chase because I was curious and they said no they don’t give any bonus or anything like that for upgrading.
It’s a pretty easy question to answer I think. If you actually find the extras useful then the value the reserve gives you becomes worth it, otherwise get the preferred.
I just updated my united airlines explorer card to the united airlines quest card because I feel that you can get better states on the quest card over the explorer card.
I Have had the chase Sapphire preferred for over 4 years now instead of upgrading can I downgrade to another freedom? then apply for the reserve and get the bonus.
its also good technique for data collection how people are spending money and train there AI model to showcase those products on the feed so they spend even more
Is it best to get the CSP & CSR for the SUB and then downgrade the CSP to the standard sapphire to avoid the fee and keep your credit history? Ideally, you could get both within a year or two and get the points without having to wait 48 months, right?
You would not get the Sapphire preferred bonus. Plus Chase wants you to have the card for at least one year before upgrading or downgrading. You would qualify for the Sapphire preferred benefits two years after you got one of the cards.
TLDR: Im bullish on crypto still. It's true views on crypto aren't that high but it will come back and we'll be ready. We have 3 crypto videos actually in the pipeline coming up in the next 2 weeks, but right now we have content planned out for the next 6 months and we have some exciting things we've been working around the clock on. It'll all make sense by the end of Q1!
“37 years in being in the points and miles game” Bro… you can’t count your childhood towards that. 😭😭😭
😂
Bro has been in the points and miles game for 37 years lol
When I found out dude was 53 years old I almost pooped my pants.
Been in the game since before I was a cell

Idk how this guys looks 25-30
Reserve is 100% worth it. In the ny metro area, lyft premium, free citi bikes, instacart credits, precheck?? Practical benefits, plat is overkill

Do they offer anything for upgrading it?
@@wilsoncaravantes4033 usually no

@@wilsoncaravantes4033 No you have to wait 48 months to get another welcome package
Did you get the bonuses for the reserve?
Greatly appreciate you spelling out the breakeven point for the Reserve over the Preferred.
You bet!
That was an EXCELLENT explination of a Loss Leader. I always wondered about pushing points to just loose when people down grade their AF cards

May we have the card excel calculator, please?
The card calculator sheet isn’t in the description, please add. Very helpful video
Drops the video right when I needed it 🙏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great video Brian! Also, massive respect to you for taking care of your family as you continue to accumulate wealth!
I appreciate that!
Where is the spreadsheet?
I got approved for the Preferred today 😅

37 years
lolol
37 years????? I thought you were in your early 20s
I Have had the chase Sapphire preferred for over 4 years now instead of upgrading can I downgrade to another freedom? then apply for the reserve and get the bonus.
I have read knowledgeable people say yes
The Reserve turns the Freedom Unlimited into essentially a 2.25X card. Or better...
I'm waiting for next year to apply as many inquiries will be dropping from my credit report🎉👏🏼
bro i love your vids, keep the grind up bro
Thanks, will do!
Good Video. Very informative. Keep the content coming @Brian Jung
You got it!
This video is very informative, THANK YOU!!! Does the RESERVE also include the 10% point bonus at anniversary?
yes
no, the other person is misinformed.
Yea, but it gets more complicated if you want to double dip on the Amex Trifecta! In that scenario, I don't see any benefit of the Reserve!
Where is the card excel calculator?
I was looking for it too.
I NEEDED THIS VIDEO!! THANK YOUU!! 🎉
You're so welcome!
Brian always bringing the value 🔥
Been deciding on which one to choose
If you actually use the CSR card then you will come out on top
Hey Brian how do you check your credit score before you apply?
its also good technique for data collection how people are spending money and train there AI model to showcase those products on the feed so they spend even more
Awesome video and info, thank you 🤙🏼🤙🏼
You bet!
so i kept on clicking the link for cards and i cannot see the capital one venture x, only business.
we're working on this now! Check back tomorrow and it should be fixed :)
I love my CSP
We have the same pocket organizer. Lol
Are these cards worth it while living overseas?
Where is the drive link?
10x dining tho, but i probably won’t ever use my amex gold if i get the reserved
That’s dining booked through the chase portal, very limited in use case. Better to figure the 3x for standard dining

You would have to do a Modified double dip, look it up.
If I was to get Reserve and cancel my Preferred, would I lose all of my Chase reward points that I’ve earned from preferred ?
I’d say request to upgrade instead of canceling it.
if I want to get the CSR Bonus, but I have the CSP. Should I cancel first the CSP, then apply for the CSR?
Downgrade
24 months rule apply, you don’t get bonus if a current customer of sapphire family
Can I get sapphire reserve and downgrade to preferred and still get the bonuses?
You would not get the Sapphire preferred bonus. Plus Chase wants you to have the card for at least one year before upgrading or downgrading. You would qualify for the Sapphire preferred benefits two years after you got one of the cards.
thanks bro!@@therealobvert7237
Can I apply for both cards? Whether at the same time or at a later time?
My understanding is that Chase will only allow a cardholder to hold only one Sapphire card at a time
What type of wallet is that ?
will canceling the preferred after 48 months to upgrade to the reserve drop your credit score?
you don't cancel, you downgrade.
Score will drop for max 30 days, then recalculate as long as other accts are paid on time. Hope this helps.
CSR was only worth it when it was at $450 AF
Thank you
Do a vid on regular chase sapphire
CSR. All day.
“Not tooo-DAY!!” 😂😂
Nice
Tried using chases travel portal though my phone and it was awful. Amex def got a Dub there
Chase's cashback is better
Yes. Chase Travel sucks
