- Part 1 of a guided tour through the house that was the set of the hit Korean television drama "Full House" (2003). View Part 2 here: • Full House Walkthrough... Apologies for any lapses in the video quality (it was my first time shooting on the Nikon D5100) and for my voice (I sound like an Australian version of Simon from Misfits in his pre-Superhoodie days). Filmed at the actual house on Sido Island, Incheon, South Korea in September 2012. The house sadly no longer stands, having apparently been demolished in later 2012 or early 2013. Full House starred Rain as Lee Young-Jae and Song Hye Gyo as Han Ji-Eun. It was one of the most popular, recognisable and enjoyable Korean dramas of the early 2000s. Personally, it is one of my equal favourite Korean dramas of all time.

Come here again in 2021 after re-watching Full House. This house is iconic, one of the reasons i fell in love with k-drama.
The house has so much character and attention to detail. I totally agree with you, it’s a big part of why I love the show too. Thank you for watching

Unfortunately the entire house was torn down because of a typhoon in 2013. So the house is all gone now. 😭
Why does this make me feel so nostalgic like I lived there lol I guess the drama really made an impact on me haha
And whyy didnt they just make the house into a cafe or something instead of destroying it damm im sure even after all these years there are still fans of this drama no doubt. If i was a millionare I would have bought that house.
I agree with everything you have said! It was such a beautiful house and it meant so much to so many people. That said, at the time we were there, it had been a number of months since anyone had been to visit (or since the ticket booth had been manned, at least), so maybe it was costing too much to maintain and not making enough money back in tour fees. Plus, they may have been concerned at the deteriorating condition of the house and the possible risk of lawsuits if someone happened to be injured there. Doesn’t make it any less sad for those of us who love the show and the house itself :(
Thank you for sharing this video and telling me the behind the scenes of how they couldnt maintain the house and that not much people visited it because now this house is just a sweet memory of the past that no longer exist. You were truly lucky to have visited the full house I someday want to visit korea. You might be able to find the right architect but you can't replace the original one. And how about the beach background near the house, can your architect make a beach background for you? Maybe we should make a petition instead and raise funds for it to be rebuild again. I hope Jeff Bezos can help us.

It was a beautiful series and maybe a lot of people’s first k-drama experiences or the one that made them love Korea. So it is really sad. It's such s shame that no one maintained this house, like surely once the interest died down they could've sold it to someone. You'd think maybe Rain or Song Hye-kyo even would've bought it! I wonder if they ever visited this place again after filming ended...ahh so many memories from this house, if only it was still there, I'd love to have visited it one day :(

You’re right, it’s really upsetting that the house wasn’t maintained. But maybe for Rain and Song Hye Kyo, it was like an office space where they worked for a while. Plus, it was a location known to fans so it wouldn’t have given them much privacy, so I can kind of understand why they didn’t buy it, even though I wish they had too. But another commenter suggested that fans would probably have loved the chance to crowdfund the purchase of the place, which might have been fun :). Oh well ㅋㅋ

1st of July 2020 and I am watching this, lots of old memories came back to me about this drama and that includes the "Full house". A modern perfect house beside the sea, sadly the owner didn't maintain the beauty of it, even though it can cost a lot of dollars to fix, but I think preserving this beautiful property is worth it. Thanks for sharing this, though the house no longer stands through your video, we can still see it in its last look. By the way do you know what they replace or do on that vacant lot?

Trust me, still I'm watching Full House and #Bikyo is my most fav Jodi ever. I want my house to be like full house its big and very homey feeling ,full house became my dream house when i first watched the drama ohmyg ilove fullhouse so much i love the big windows of the house and the backyard is lovely with the beach view and the spiral stairs and the layout of the kitchen and the front of the house where you enter the house ohmyg i really love fullhouse sm ❤️❤️❤️
I agree with you. Somehow, Full House was big and spacious while also seeming warm and cosy. I liked even the little details, like the kitchen tap and spout and the rose petals embedded in the floor. It was such a beautiful house.

Thank you for commenting and watching the video. I am really thankful that I got the chance to see it and walk around. It was a timing thing really. Actually, when we got there, it was closed up, so we spent about an hour just sadly wandering around the outside. Fortunately, I called the KTO and they were able to get in touch with a kind local man who unlocked it for us and let us roam around inside to our hearts’ content :)

I watch it every now and then too, it will always be one of my favs. The bathroom where they brushed their teeth was at the rear of the kitchen, to the rights as you faced it. Unfortunately, the entrance to it was locked as I think that part of the house was already badly damaged. You can see the exterior in the garden where the external stairs went up to the master bedroom. Sadly, there was no way in there and while I did try peeking in, as far as I can recall, the windows were covered up, so I couldn’t see much.

Hi Patrice, the house was located on Sido Island, off the coast of Incheon, northwest of Seoul. Sadly, it is gone now. Nobody was living there before it was demolished - it was a tourist attraction for fans of Full House for about 10 years after the show aired. A number of props and items of memorabilia were displayed in the house and it also seems to have been used to store some random things by the network. Sorry for replying so late, but I hope this answers your questions :)

That’s right, that was the location. I haven’t been able to go back there since I made the videos, so I’m not sure if there is a plaque or something to commemorate the location of the house. I really hope there is something so fans still have something nice in that spot. Maybe if someone visits and finds out, they can let us all know?

As far as I know, it was badly damaged by a typhoon and then demolished. It’s sad… Unfortunately, I don’t know when I’ll be able to go back at this stage. I would like to go back to Sido one day and see how it looks now. If I do, I’ll make another video there!

Sadly, I think the house was not being looked after. It was right near the beach, so the salty sea air was causing rust and staining to parts of the house. Without proper maintenance, any building will suffer after nearly 10 years. Plus, I don’t think it was getting as many visitors as it did before. So the television station must have thought it was better to demolish the house than keep it standing...which is heartbreaking for all of us :(

I would have loved it if they had made an actual sequel series in the same house! There were rumors online of something like that being planned for a few years after the original, but sadly nothings came of it…
