- Part 2 of a guided tour through the house that was the set of the hit Korean television drama "Full House" (2003). View Part 1 here: • Full House Walkthrough... Apologies for any lapses in the video quality (it was my first time shooting on the Nikon D5100) and for my voice (I sound like an Australian version of Simon from Misfits in his pre-Superhoodie days). Filmed at the actual house on Sido Island, Incheon, South Korea in September 2012. The house sadly no longer stands, having apparently been demolished in later 2012 or early 2013. Full House starred Rain as Lee Young-Jae and Song Hye Gyo as Han Ji-Eun. It was one of the most popular, recognisable and enjoyable Korean dramas of the early 2000s. Personally, it is one of my equal favourite Korean dramas of all time.

When i watched this show, i was inlove with this house instantly and decides to make it my dream house! This iconic house is part of my bucketlist place to visit and it saddened me learning it was demolished because of a hurricane 😟🥺💔💔💔💔 I looooved this show a lot! I was high school back then and i am missing it badly that I rewatched it today in July 2021, thank you Netflix!! Finished it yesterday. Reminiscing Ji-Heun and Young-Jae love story, it was funny, really! ❤️ Full House was my first Kdrama i got inloved with and my fave, of course!

I fell in love with the drama "full house" and as well as the house when i was still 11, it breaks my heart seeing that this house has some damages already 😢💔 i hope that full house is fixed already up to these years and hopefully this house will last forever...
Thank you for sharing your love for the series and for the house itself. Sadly, the house is no longer there :(. As you mentioned, it was not being looked after very well, and about 6-7 months after I shot the video, it was demolished. But because all of us love it so much, the House will last as long as we continue to remember it fondly.

I badly want to live there, when I was young I always dreamed of living there. its just sad that up untill now i still don't have a work because I'm a student. ang hoping that one day when i go to Korea I would visit full house first. but sadly i can no longer to see full house😭 I'm so emotional huhu. I just cant accept it, because full house is my first ever k drama to watched
I know how you feel. I think all of us who love the drama have such a strong connection to the house. I wanted to go there for years too and it took many years before I could. Now, I guess we just have to take some inspiration or design tips from the house for when we build our own!

Did you happen to see the post where Rain used to wipe with his saliva? Also the corner of house where he hid when he was locked up by SHK? There should also be a bench where Rain sat to medidate. Thank you very much for sharing this video. I just rewatched the drama 17 years after seeing it the first time last 2004. So nostalgic.
Thank you for watching! I’m not sure if you have seen part 1 as well, but I walked through the whole place that was available to view, so those places are probably somewhere in the footage. The bathroom annex wasn’t available to enter because of how damaged it was, but the rest should be there :) Glad you got to enjoy the drama again after so long.

They probably revised the house since you said you've covered mostly everything. The house doesn't dtand anymore but this video will serve as a memory of it. I'm sure I'd be going back and watch these videos again.

This site and the house should have been restored it could be one of tourist attraction of Korea wherever it was located tourists would be happy to visit it same Full house was filmed.

I love the design too! I really want to build a replica. The house was located on Sido Island, off the coast of Incheon in Korea. Sido Island can be reached by a ferry that runs a few times a day from Incheon.

if this house was built only for filming or there are owner of this house?
Yes, it was built specifically as a set for filming the show. But it was still a design that could easily be lived in as well. The rumors at the time were that it cost $1,000,000 to build (maybe including the cost of the land).
I think it was unusual that they built such an elaborate set for this production. Usually they use an existing location for drama filming. For example, I shot some videos at the home/bookstore where Shin Sekyung’s character lived in ‘When a Man Loves’ (I want to edit and upload it one day). That was just the home of an older couple (they were cool with visitors and filming). In the case of Full House, the house is such a big part of the show and Han Ji-Eun’s life - plus the manwha was already popular - so I guess they thought building the house was worth it. I certainly think it was!

Thank you for watching :) Unfortunately, the house is not there anymore TT But, Sido Island is very beautiful on its own merits and you could still see the beach that was next to the house and enjoy the atmosphere of the island. But sadly, the beautiful house is no longer standing.

@sandy a past commenter mentioned that a typhoon damaged the house to the extent that it was demolished, but beyond that, I’m not sure. I know that it was neglected and run down when I visited and made the video and that about 6 months later, it had been demolished. I’m not sure if it was planned to knock it down or if the typhoon made that unavoidable. It’s sad either way :(

Are you saying they demolished the house or its been taken out from the place…??? My family and I are planning to visit Korea in a couple of months and the Full House would be one of our stops….
It's not there anymore it was demolished in June 25 2013 :-(

KBS is one of the largest broadcasting companies in South Korea. They could have easily preserved the house but chose not to. Such a shame. They could still restore it to this day even though it's already destroyed. It definitely shouldn't cost that much since it wasn't when it was first built initially, too.
They really could have taken better care of if. Corporations gonna corporate, I guess… Though I think it cost US$1M to build it originally.
