I love this; very impressed with the clouds and the final touches of the sand!

love how the subtle waves on the sea matches the subtle breeze on the flag!

Very impressive. I particularly like how you are able to 'see' a picture when you're out and about or in your photos. I find it difficult to do that.
Also, I really liked that video where you explained how a painter needs to focus on one main object and ensure it's the biggest part of the painting.

I love listening to and learning from you. You’re very down to earth and not too hyper to listen to either. Just calm and relaxed. I love it. I love putting on your videos to go to sleep and hate when I wake up to someone else when I forget to just put your playlist on. Otherwise, TH-cam won’t just keep playing you but will play other people too. And they wake me up!!!

I really appreciate how loyal to are to oil painting! I’m finding myself being pulled back to acrylics for alla prima plein air work however. Maybe I can just do oils in my studio until I get more confident! Transporting wet canvases is still a puzzle to me!

So much useful advice in here, amazed you can cram so much into a single video. And the puzzle analogy - you make all of it make sense! Thank you! And I love the finished piece; reminds me of Edward Hopper's work - it's awesome.

I wish that you would show your palette more. I am an absolute beginner and I am having a hard time judging the "thinning" of the paint and how much paint I should put on my palette to start a painting. I am loving your videos and hope to join your patreon page very soon. I want to watch more of the TH-cam first to get grounded.

Ever try blocking in in acylic. Drys fast plus easier to make changes and can get close in colors

I had a couple of years of lessons 40 years ago. Just retired. You are highly gifted at painting, and communication. Third video, and I heard every word. Also, I liked your brush cleaning comment from Draw, Mix, Paint which I thought was really good, when I viewed Mark Carders videos. Thank you. P.S. I hate brush cleaning, too.

Could you explain? Paint coach isn't cleaning the brush?

Hello Chris, I just discovered your channel, and I absolutely love your style and work! I am a watercolor and acrylic painter. I love acrylics, but they dry way too fast. I have been using Golden so flat, which is a cool look, but I want to try water-based oils. I believe I am in for a challenge, but your videos are making it look not too difficult.

Thank you! This was incredible to watch. I also have no idea about color theory. It just happens. Hard to explain. I learned a lot from this! Subbed and liked. 👍

How many brushes do you use? Do you have a brush for the different colors, or do you clean the brush after applying a new color?

I like the curve of the waves , the board and the steps leading the eye to the lifeguard hut , and the sand looking lighter further away [like sky does ?]
is that because sand is basically glass particles ?

How much working time is this? How many days between sessions? I just started oils and I’m not sure how to time things. I’ve been doing acrylic and it’s been a big shift
