dude I've been yo-yoing for a year now. I'm 42 so obviously yoyo'd as a kid but without the Internet or access to high-quality yo-yos I couldn't even walk the dog. Obviously unresponsive didn't exist back then I can DNA I can do all sorts of stuff now I picked it up pretty quick but it's thanks to your tutorials. your tutorials are straightforward to the point in the tips make it possible to pick them up. All the other tutorials are either way to gimmicky style of people with TikTok brain or just don't have the inside to explain the problems you might have. The Brent stole the second time I tried it and the fourth time I tried it then it was like one out of every 25. When I went back to your tutorial I hit it immediately. thanks.
I've always had a Theory that this trick may have been invented when learning Hook. Also one of my favorite slack tricks behind Revolutions and Yuuki Slack.

It is all about keeping the hand close to the yoyo still, and pulling straight with your other hand. And landing the yoyo close to your hand.
do i just remove the response pads off of the sage to make it unresponsive??
No, you need to swap out the bearing for the unresponsive bearing in the Starter Pack.

It may help to learn hook first, but that is not necessary. You can go straight at this one whenever you want.
I just did it 2 times in a row somehow but got a knot both times 😅
That happens if you drop it in the triangle, or if you pop it out the back and not the front.
