U do have to be 10 or 11 to get one, but nothing says u can't go catch one b4 that time. Which is y all the youngsters have the weak beginning area Pokemon
Actually, the rules only are they you have to be 11 to join the island challenge. There's no age restriction to catch pokemon. Meaning even a baby can catch a pokemon.
I would have really loved it if Game Freak had made Lillie come back and challenge you after you had fought all of the Title Defense Battles a certain number of times, rocking a Mega Kangaskhan (With the whole Family theme Sun and Moon has). THAT would have been brilliant as a story building move, and could have easily made for a very touching experience. But you know, I can dream.
That's why I said after you defeat all the Title Defenses after a certain number of times. It could easily be taken that quite a bit of time passes from the time you beat the Elite Four to the 70th or 90th time you defend your title and catch all the Ultra Beasts. I could safely say that, realistically, all that would happen within the span of a couple of years, so it would make sense.
My reaction to the varied title defense rivals: (Beats E4 and Kukui for first time) "Yay I'm the millionth 'first' champion in Alola. woo." (One post-game and then some later) "Let's beat the E4 again, because reasons." (One E4 beating later, Acerola is still adorable as hell BTW) "Alright Kukui, let's see how your team's cha-" (Plumeria shows up) "WAIT JUST A GODDAMN SECOND. WHHAAAAAAAATT?"
You are the Actual first champion Kukui wasn't even the champion when you two fought you were He said it himself he wouldn't make a Pokemon league and make himself champion he'd rather go through the challenge of becoming champion.
This right here is my favorite thing about Pokemon Sun and Moon. The fact that you can come back to the Champion seat, that's your seat and actually face challengers. Unlike all the other times where you would reface the champion. Like, even a youngster that you see walk up to you challenges you. It shows how much Gamefreak thought about after game since that's what people like to do.

I genuinely teared up when Plumeria showed up in my game. What I really liked was that she wasn't there as Team Skull Admin, she was there as a Pokemon Trainer. I kinda wished they had removed everyone's titles because to me, in that room there are only Pokemon Trainers.
The only reason she wasn’t the admin is because Skull disbanded. Captain Sophocles is still a captain. Professor Kukui is still a professor. Youngster Tristan is still a youngster. Faba was still the Branch Chief. Hapu is still her island’s Kahuna.

Does anyone think this is a cool idea for an ability? Only Poison type pokémon would have this ability. Alolan Grimer and Muk would have been cool with this. If the Pokémon with the ability is hit with a fire type move, the Poison Pokémon heats up and releases Poison Gas which Poisons all Pokémon on the battlefield. (I don't really have a name for this ability)

It would've been a 10/10 game if the character's mother showed up as one of them title champion rivals and had a complete lvl100 legendary Pokemon team with full extreme difficulty, then wrecks them and you wake up at home where you finally see your dad who then goes leads on to another story about why their mother is so strong.

The only op thing about the UB's is Beast Boost, their base stat total is lower than for example Garchomp, Kommo-o sitting at 570 and 600 respectively. only thing is the UB's stats are super optimised either as glass cannons or as bulky attackers

Pokemon needs a hard mode. For one, I wish all of these title defense battles had 6 pokemon and every one had a held item. They should all have a z move or a mega too. That and the AI really needs to learn when to switch out.

Alex Renk When I think of Champion, I think of Blue, Lance, Cynthia. They had very strong Pokémon, but none were unbeatable. During my Playthrough of sun and moon I've only defended twice.. and it was against the dragon guy and hau. I used my Main playthrough team. It makes it more challenging as well to turn off switch as well. You are the champion, u shouldn't need to use Ultra Beasts and legendarys if you are the greatest Pokémon trainer in the world.. I almost lost to the dragon guy ryuki or whatever but it was a challenging battle. Not like this guy One hitting every challenger 😂. They just fought the elite 4 they don't wanna face a full ultra beast legendary team. Idk I just felt pride not using an OP team.

Alex Renk When I think of Champion, I think of Blue, Lance, Cynthia. They had very strong Pokémon, but none were unbeatable. During my Playthrough of sun and moon I've only defended twice.. and it was against the dragon guy and hau. I used my Main playthrough team. It makes it more challenging as well to turn off switch as well. You are the champion, u shouldn't need to use Ultra Beasts and legendarys if you are the greatest Pokémon trainer in the world.. I almost lost to the dragon guy ryuki or whatever but it was a challenging battle. Not like this guy One hitting every challenger 😂. They just fought the elite 4 they don't wanna face a full ultra beast legendary team. Idk I just felt pride not using an OP team.
Alex Renk battle tree is a different discussion. Those bastards there have perfect ev and IV Pokémon and will run threw your team if you don't have a plan 😂
