We Ate Fugu and Skewered Sparrow in Kyoto!

We visited Kyoto in mid-February and to our surprise, the plum trees were blossoming and we enjoyed a few days of warm weather! We used the easy and cheap public transportation system and the occasional taxi to move about this beautiful little city. Must sees include Gion, Higashiyama District, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Pavilion), and Nishiki Market. So much fun, so much good food, and of course - Geisha spotting! We were lucky to watch a performance and meet a beautiful Geisha (Geiko in Kyoto) and her Maiko (apprentice).
