E2 a low rarity ops then you will frequently use and you can have the e2 ops as your friends support when that e2 ops is in party *cough* *cough* mrytle *cough* *cough*

This stage also requires a lot of Trust level. My max-level Fang cannot even tank the first 2 enemies.
I place him then when he is nearly dead, I swap him for Zima. I even put Myrtle behind so that when Blood Debt triggers, we will have 5 healing units. I still lose this stage because Gummy dies instantly when the lizzard guy appears.
EDIT: Because my team is lvl40-50, I swapped her with Cuora. If you swap Fang with a stronger Vanguard, E1 Myrtle behind him is enough. She will also be used to heal instead of Spot. Then, I swapped Spot for Cuora. I even had to use 3 healers to back Thorn and Zima up (Perfume, Myrr and Gavial). If your healers are even below 40, consider bringing the healing robot. Ofc, if you use Myrtle to heal as well, your Vanguard will definitely leak the enemies so you can swap Vanguard for a Defender (like Gummy), or you can play it dangerously like me by swapping the tank block below Thorn immediately for a melee behind Myrtle. You have to be quick, or you have to place that melee out of healer's reach, and may lose the fight. Also, retreat that melee after their job is done because you will need 1 unit for the 2nd Blood Debt.
TLDR: you can do it without max level E1 and farming Trust. However, E2 and above lvl70 Thorn is a must. Mastery is recommended. Ask Discord players for a Thorn if you do not have him.
I spent all my resources and I got Penance... Now I have to do the Challenge EX stages...
