This is my first time seeing this sport, and I like it!
It seems like the riders are not hunkering down enough to cut air resistance. I expected them to use their body weight a lot more than they are, similar to watching sidecar racing passengers.

I have a powerful scooter like this and if you use more weight the resault is 100% crash. the size of the tires surface what is touching the ground is too small. Sadly... :/ (my scooter 140km/h)

@dariusbendasiuk5678 just a bit bigger and a bit heavier, a row of cells extra of the same type they use rn
for example:
a 20S4P (20 cells in series, 4 in parallel) of Molicel P45B's would be able to handle 180A continuous (15kW peak at full charge 84V, 13kW at 72V), if they go 5P, aka just add another 20 cells to the whole pack and that goes up to 225A continuous or 18.9kW peak (84V, at 72V 16.2kW)
coincidentally 4500mAh x 4 in parallel x 72V gives around 1300Wh (1.3kWh) and 5 in parallel per series 1600Wh (1.6kWh)
