Love this little stove. Had it installed last weekend in my "sheshed" and it's wonderful! Soapstone is excellent for heating, tax credit eligible....it's wonderful!
Soapstone heat may last longer but it also takes longer to heat up so it’s really a wash between soapstone and iron or steel. Sure do look pretty though!
True! But it seems as though soapstone emits that soft, gentle heat. And it is not noisy like a plate steel stove that ticks and clicks all the time. Cast iron has so many pieces to it that eventually there are seams that need attention. All in all the newer stoves are much better than what our ancestors used.
Yes the soapstone stoves release a nice radiant heat. I’m a fan of the steel fire box cast iron surround stoves like the Jotul F45 and the PE Alderlea series. They give off a gentle radiant heat similar to soapstone and don’t have all those gaskets or cemented seams like a true cast iron stove.
It has small surface area. Look at the kratki stove 9kw. Good idea with temp.measurement👍 did You think about controling air related to the temp. Of exhaust? Area m2= 9kw*0.7effic.=6.3kw/50W/m2=126m2 heated area.
@@embersliving actually I was looking at something a little bigger. Living in Seattle area, but you said to give you a chance to bid. I am looking to take advantage of next years tax credits.
Oh, okay. That makes sense. I was thinking there might be an overall standard that was the same for any state in the USA. Some woodstoves made especially for mobile homes come with a minimum back and side space that seems to apply countrywide, but maybe I misread. So I thought maybe this had one also.
I think it would be interesting to do a burn cycle duration test with this stove.... According to the EPA test burn figures, it did not burn very long on low, and based on how fast its cranking through hardwood in this video, it seems like this stove is tuned for faster burning, higher heat output. A big selling point for stoves is whether they can make it through the night with coals left for an easy reload, and there are competing stoves from other brands (Morso specifically) that are capable of 6-10 hour burn cycles depending on fuel type and loading density. In watching the way this burns, I'm not sure it could achieve this, which is kinda sad, considering that Hearthstones other tru-hybrid stoves are capable of 10-12+ hour burn cycles. I routinely find a warm stove with coals for a relight 12-16 hours after the last reload in a mansfield.
I think your right about it burning faster and cooling quicker because of the size. For a small area it might be perfect, but yeah this would not heat an entire home all night.
@@keystoneprepper it’s a nice stove for sure but it has a manufacturer defect with the gasket in the catalyst tray. The manufacturer was notified two weeks ago and I have yet to hear from them. I’m pretty disappointed.
@@embersliving Indeed, basically a revision of the old Tribute stove, which was like, already a really good stove as it was, achieving relatively low emissions, 74% HHV efficiency, and actually having better low end burn rate control than the Lincoln despite not having a cat, and higher output capacity. A "truhybrid" version of that stove would get it into 2020 emissions and over the 75% HHV hump for the tax rebate, and would probably produce 8-12 hour burn cycles. Lots of people with the old 8040 version of that stove get 6-9 hour burn cycles out of it without a cat. It was also a much more attractive stove than the Lincoln, and a better shape for fireviewing and a better shape for smaller homes that might not have room for such a long stove sticking out into the room. I just don't think the Lincoln makes any sense in the line-up of Hearthstone stoves. It's an interesting novelty but even the little GM40 with a barely larger firebox is a far superior stove in terms of burn rate control range and burn cycle duration.
A lovely stove. I'd like one of those in a small cozy cabin. Could you broaden your videos and make the effort to try these stoves in a cabin, to show in real world how they perform ? That would be such fun and enjoyable videos to watch. ???
I wish we could test in a cabin!! Unfortunately it would be difficult to haul and install these in a local cabin . We do plan on testing more stoves In the showroom Though!! Thanks for watching !
Went to the website and it froze, then I tried to find this stove but nope… if you are wondering why you aren’t getting customer conversion it’s because your website sucks.
I dont care if the thing walks and talks. I know better and i refuse to deal with fifteen and a half inch logs,so they will fit in a stove. That small stove is just going to be a constant battle just like every other small wood stove.
Yeah, I was looking for the Lincoln Stove. I don’t even see it on there.
You have to call us for this specific product. (303) 800-5659

Such a good product. Thanks for watching!
Is it 5kw?
What are the clearances? (side wall, etc)
Can you give us a call at (303) 800-5659.
Great video.
I use the Hearthstone Tribute and the soapstone heat is soft and comfortable.
It can withstand Japan's harsh winters.
Wow that's awesome! Thanks for watching!
What do you think of the catalyst configuration? Seems like a poor place to have it right under the flue collar.
I thought the same thing. However, 78.5% efficiency is still pretty good.
no one talks about the weight of a stove I am considering one for a old house but wondering about the weight.
This one is smaller and less heavy. Larger the size the more heat it will put out.
Soapstone heat may last longer but it also takes longer to heat up so it’s really a wash between soapstone and iron or steel. Sure do look pretty though!
Yeah we have a video testing all 3

You mean the k7
At what temperature does the soapstone crack?
I googled and it says above 500f
Do you install them in RV’s?
We dont install, but you might need something even smaller for a RV
So when is the best time to get a great deal on a stove?
Probably this weekend. We have this one for sale as a floor model only used like 3 times

The prices are crazy for a little wood stove....... they should be ashamed to be asking that much money.
in the long run it pays itself off.
Not really way to many options
Lol
They are overpriced!
This looks great. How much space is needed behind it?
Hmm there are a lot of rules depending where you live !

@@embersliving Great thanks. do you guys ship to Canada?

I wish hearthstone would do a tru-hybrid tribute.
Like a cat and reburn ??

Looks good for a home thats 800 sqf or less or maybe a single wide trailer home.
yeah this would be perfect for that.
It’s a nice stove but it don’t add up to the price you are asking for it.

You have to go through dealers (middlemen) to buy these....no thanks! There is ZERO benefit for customers using a dealer for anything.

too god damn expensive god damn i bought a stove at a action for 50 fucing bucks and it works fuking good
Thats great!! Be sure to check out the reburn tubes!!
