I hope Kathy Bates reads this, I was 13-14 yrs old when Fried Green Tomatoes released in “91” a small town country girl, chubby teen with physical, learning disability and bad home life. I wanted to give up many times. When I’ve needed motivation I watch that movie in particular the part where you began working out, eating better and standing up to Ed. I can’t say how many times I’ve seen it and I wished I’d had friends like the women in the movie. I know it’s not easy, I lost 200# myself and people will ask questions or say things. You did the work, why does it matter to anyone how? You’d think people would be supportive. You look amazing, I wish you continued success, good health and long life. Thank you 😊 🌼🌼🌞

Misery is a good, but terrifying movie. It shakes me for days after I watch it! Which I continue to do every year or so! Kathie is a great actress.

when I lost weight I remember a co worker asking did I have weight loss surgery I didn't feel offended bcuz alot of my coworkers had the procedure done plus I was working from home for six months .When I returned I was already down 65 pounds so I understood her comment but it was all hard work no pills no shots no surgery it was working out with a focus on weight lifting and body weight exercises as well as walking daily and eating well and I wasn't starving myself in fact i was eating every two yrs . Cutting out sugar kick started my weight loss at the time bcuz doing that and moving my body within 3 weeks I lost 19 lbs .Losing weight is hard but the maintaining it is even harder imo
She used ozempic. I'm past menopause and I have to work out and eat healthy to keep off the weight. I don't have ozempic to do it for me.
Kathy Bates is a strong, brave admirable woman. She has done a wonderful job bringing attention to Lymphedema, a terrible disabling disease. It's thanks to her I now have the care I needed. Thank you Kathy for being the woman that you are.❤

My insurance denied my claim for Ozempic in Feb. 2024 and then I hired an online coach and I just lost 50 lbs. Very hard but doable.

Well, her break-out was Annie Wilkes in Misery. So often it's not about talent of the actors, but the talent of the casting agents that make the difference. Anyone could have played that role well, but Kathy Bates was perfect for it. The movie roles that followed after were written specifically for her, or rewritten from the source material to accommodate her. I think it's clear she isn't a fit for a romantic lead. There is no need for body shaming. That includes actors who do feel comfortable with nude scenes.

Weight loss is hugely difficult !! I too am an obese older woman with the complications of a very sluggish metabolism and coming from a family loaded with both Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes!! This is a very challenging dynamic. People accuse me of EATING ALL DAY LONG!! I’m said to be horribly lazy. I’m not. I am much slower and need more rest since I turned 65 this year. The weather where I live is just UNBEARABLE for me. I can’t even pick up my mail without sweating all through my clothes. I’m so sorry I ever came to Florida. I also have a lot of allergies and, of course, allergy medicine caused weight gain. I also take psych meds like antidepressants and sleeping pills. These Also Cause weight gain. It’s truly an uphill battle for me. What should I say to the KNOW IT ALLS that say I’m obese because I’m doing everything wrong??

My mom did the same. She cut carbs, started walking daily, and lost 30lbs. Then her Dr put her on Oxempic bc he said she was still considered overweight.
She's been on it for a year, and lost only 7 more lbs.
I don't think it's worth it considering it makes her extremely nauseous and constipated. She's becoming more frail even though she's technically "healthier" than she ever has been. I don't like it.

I got off after a year of ozempic...I started with dangerous regurgitation and almost.drown when stuck.in my throat and nose. Once, twice 3times, my.boyfriend said ....no more what if I'm.not here and this happens. I have never had it since. People please be careful...ozempic is dangerous

My coworker was prescribed Ozempic and she only took it for a few weeks. It gave her chronic diarrhea, which she still has a year later. No thank you
It has deadly side effect, but people don’t listen. So sorry about your friend 🙏🏼💜
Your friend may want to get lab work to rule out serious health issues it could’ve caused.
My coworker’s wife went to the ER for a terrible side effect. She is fine and no longer takes it.
Just because it did that to your friend doesn't mean it will do that to others. My friend who is very overweight and has diabetes has been able to lose some weight with it and now he's more mobile and can exercise whereas before he could not.
@@moonchild7542 your diabetic friends benefit of taking it outweighs the risk. Good they found a good solution to help them. Its not for everyone for sure but for some it is great.
