  • I always loved the Fallout games so I will forever have a soft spot for this song. It never fails to bring a smile to my face when it pops up out of nowhere whilst I’m wandering through the wasteland, but enough about my travels through Birmingham! (Funnily enough a friend of mine hated that joke so much that we no longer speak, what a silly thing to Fallout 4 (Another hilarious joke, what AM I like?..)).
I have only just started watching the Fallout series (good, isn't it!) and that inspired me somewhat to do this simple little string quartet arrangement of “I Don’t Want To Set The World On Fire” by The Ink Spots. It's a Fallout classic as it has that wonderful comforting warm sound whilst also being so incredibly haunting and sinister in the dead world it's set in. Listening back, it reminds me of a lot of those old 40’s songs where they would run out of ideas half way through so they’d just get some American chap with a nice voice to speak the words of the first verse over the music and that seemed to do the trick. I wonder if I could get away with that…
This has also received a copyright violation warning as it is so very similar to the original (I must be really good at this) so I would really appreciate a like and subscribe and perhaps comment telling me what a lovely place Birmingham actually is!
