Interesting the original builder installed different brand toilets in each bath. And, multiple bath homes must have been something back in the mid 30s. At that time, many people still didn't have running water. Still a lot of outhouses back then.

Pretty interesting. Hope you can salvage these fixtures if someone buys it and they plan to renovate it! Public people like modern restrooms but I just DON’T!! I get super tired of ads and flyers on renovated bathrooms. It doesn’t look right!

I like that Crane Mauretania Toilet the most. Followed by the last toilet in second and the first toilet the last.

Does anyone know the reason why lots of people always renovate old buildings and not just keep the old style forever? Why do people think renovated places look better than vintage, unrenovated ones? Probably because it saves money on water bills & repair costs? The renovations can just redo the kitchen, windows, upstairs, and outside, and just leave the bedrooms & restrooms completely untouched. Or when the construction workers are renovating a commercial building, they can just redo the outside and rooms, but leave the vintage restrooms completely untouched instead of replacing the fixtures to new boring ones.

I love these vintage bathrooms and especially the wall hung toilets common in the earlier 20th century and all the colors available at the time. Whoever built this house was extremely well off financially, considering 1936 was in the middle of the great depression when there were soup lines and bread lines and you were blessed if after an entire day of waiting in line rain, snow or shine you got a much needed meal. My grandparent's on Dads side did not even have electricity or indoor plumbing until around 1946-'47. They grew up on a farm in rural southeast Michigan, as such the long and dark winters working long hours in from of kerosene and gas lanterns was very harsh indeed.

The second blue one reminds me of the siphonic toilets we had in the 1970's in the U.K. Many of them were coloured too. I am a vintage toilet fan and we had some amazing toilets in the U.K. back in the day, now they all seem to be bing replaced with 'two button' rubbish which do not do what a loo is designed for very well.
