@5:07 you mention the spacing or padding can be exaggerated. When I adjust these project dimension the fonts are not scaling. Could you share if there were a way to adjust the size, or percentage of the content display, so that the size reduction on export is dynamic but actually uniformly reduces the view of everything preview as well?
Hello Paul. I learned a lot with your tutorials, tks so much. But im facing an issue with Captivate 12.4: when uploaded to the LMS layouts appear totally broke and i didnt find any settings for "Breakingpoints". Is there any way to solve this? Tks
If your LMS uses an to display content you might want to see if you can instead open courseware into a new window. Alternatively you can reach out to Adobe directly at captivatehelp@adobe.com
13:08 I'm trying to have large videos both on Desktop and vertical Phone, has anyone found a work around to having the big bars? Cause I can get it looking good in only one of those two layouts.
The difficulty is that video has a fixed aspect ratio, but Adobe Captivate has a responsive design. You could create square videos to have the best of both device previews.
Not sure if this is a 12.4 update issue, but my slides that have scrolling content in them linked to another slide with scrolling content are not loading at the top of the page. In other words, when you reach the end of the scrolling content on the 1st slide > click continue to the next slide with scrolling content, it loads at the bottom of the page, not the top! 😕 Have you run into this behavior yourself? I even tried using this JS code in the "index.html" published file, which doesn't seem to work: // Ensure the page loads at the top window.onload = function() { window.scrollTo(0, 0); };
No. You will have to initiate it from your Help dropdown menu. If you have an Enterprise license you might need your IT department to update it for you.
@@CaptivateTeacher Update 12.4 is now installed. When adding a simulated recording to the project the playback does not fill the screen even when selecting proportional. No optional for padding etc to simulated slides added.
I haven't explored that workflow yet. I will be updating my simulation tutorial after I return from the Adobe Learning Summit next week. In the meantime, I would check with Adobe at captivatehelp@adobe.com for assistance on this.

I'm still learning how this works as well. We should all experiement with the new version to come up with some best practices.

Thank you for the video. Are you aware of any free or low cost adobe captivate certifications?
You can select the online video-based certification from Adobe. www.adobe.com/products/captivate/certificate.html

Please report this to Adobe from your Help dropdown menu so they can correct it if it is truly a bug.
Will my captivate auto update
