Any stock bike is fine, just make sure it has sealed bearing, 3 piece cranks, double wall rims, and a chromoly frame (NOT HIGHTENS STEAL)

Yes that one would be good! And no but if you get a larger sprocket you will accelerate faster (it will take more effort, but it will be faster)

+Raven Nowrang your height doesn't make a huge difference. you get a longer top tube so your knees don't hit the handlebars or stem.

+Kyro Monster than you obviously suck at bmx or you do the absolute simplest of tricks because in 1 week on a Walmart bike I bent the back rim, broke the 1 piece cranks and broke the forks. And my frame was a failure not a hyper and I don't care who rides for them, their bikes are shit

Probably not, ur gonna want to spend atleast $350 and buy from danscomp albes or your local bike shop, Not amazon. But make sure it has sealed bearings 3 piece cranks 25 tooth sprocket double wall rims and tht its chromolly

I got the Premium Solo at 339.99$ off Dan's Comp cuz I can't afford an expensive custom built. I can do,hang 5's and 10's,crank flips,180's,360tire taps. Fakie bars, and crank arm grinds. I love it but as you know with a stock bike,parts break! I just bought FIT indent cranks in 24mm, and a primo re-mix wheel and fly bar's! I am so fucken happy with my bike and I hope to post pics so you can see it

I tried running no brakes, then tires get BAD I suggest running brakes, if you think there getting tangled, buy a gyro... If they add weight then buy new brakes not the stock. Always solutions.

I have a stock Mongoose Mode 100 and im using it just as a starter i am currently saving up for a better one. Question is is this an okay bike for basic tricks? (Wheelies, Bunnyhops, ect)
+Seth S. Well, in my opinion it all depends on weight. If you have a heavier bike it will be a bit harder for you to basic tricks. A good weight for a starter BMX bike would probably be around 20 to 25 pounds.
I honestly don't know why people hate mongoose so much i mean I' parks with one and it works fine (besides tires, and i dislike medal pedals. But anyway like what you said on choosing the bike based on parts and like the video. Its what I'm using to choose a bike for when i graduate.

The bmx I ride is just a simple united Rn2 and I love it, it has been strong light and overall just a great ride, but the stock pedals and seat were quickly replaced as they were quite cheap.

Good choice on returning the bike. You buy a bike from a bike shop not walmart, just like you wouldn't buy a surfboard from a health food shop. To go even further you only want to buy a bmx or parts from a company that spends ALL their time on development and testing of bmx. Not a brand that does both bmx and mountain bikes or bmx and beach cruisers etc... Like Trek or Malvern Star, Giant, Specialized and lots more etc.
They havn't made bmx's for years but for example, though Trek and Giant are big names in mountain biking, they do not spend ALL their time in development and testing of bmx and do not have rider input through sponsership of people that ride and test their new products.
