Hi guys! I hope you enjoy this 5 star hotel review. I think this hotel is really nice but comparing it to other 5 star hotels in Seoul, there is definitely room for improvement. I hope they can upgrade it and make it as good as the Gangnam location!

      Hi Marie
I can't believe they did leave you a chocolate.
I would of asked for different room, I can't stand the smell of smoke been a no smoker for 13 year's, I would of had to leave the room, and I would of ask for new bathrobes, that is disgusting.

Thank you for always being honest. I’ve stayed at really nice hotels and then the more expensive ones are a bit “ehh”. Atleast now I know I’m not the only one to come down hard of 5 star hotels.

Yeah.. I guess it just depends on the hotel. Some of the hotels wowed me but not this one

It seems like they have a management problem. So it's a fancy veneer with issues underneath. Due to my mold allergy, I would have been a pretty demanding guest and would have likely asked to switch rooms - especially at that price point!

Yes, that's true. Maybe we should have asked to switch rooms, but it's too late now!

I stayed at the same hotel on the 7th floor in September this year. We had the opposite experiences. The room was VERY nice and didn’t smell of mold anywhere (I have a heightened sense of smell that’s aggravating sometimes). I loved that the breakfast had the option of Korean or American style and it was all out to choose what you’d like. I didn’t like that the kid’s breakfast wasn’t included (which we knew before we checked in) so we paid $45 each day for a 3 day stay. We liked the fruit selection since here, in Japan, fruit is expensive and I haven’t had watermelon in a while. Maybe the fruit you’re looking for was not in season at the time. We had lounge access and enjoyed happy hour nightly although only one of us would go since kids, understandably, weren’t allowed. There is also breakfast up there if you like a smaller venue which is included with the access. We liked the pool but, like you said, the kids pool was FREEZING. You didn’t show the hot tub which was on the other end of the long pool. We enjoyed our stay and especially the location which was right in the center of everything. Downstairs from the lobby we were able to access the train station. We stay in 5 star hotels a lot and I’m glad I stayed there before seeing your video otherwise I wouldn’t have and I would’ve missed out on a really good experience. I’m mad you got robes for your kids! We didn’t lol now I have to go back.

I enjoy watching you review these different hotels and what the benefits are for each one. A shame you got the moldy smell with the bath and air. I'm always easily impressed with stuff, but probably not with that, lol. :P But either way, very cool to see. Keep up the fun reviews. Enjoy time with the family. God bless yours and you, Marie! :)

I blame the management. Management has one job.. manage to ensure employees are accountable. Great location, great hotel, great staff, poor management.

Moment I hear shower smells funky, that's moment I'll never book Marriott in Seoul. Thanks for the heads up.
