I was a student in one of the districts mentioned. The local chapter of “moms for liberty” has been protesting outside our schools and at community events for months now in the name of protecting the children whilst simultaneously calling in false bomb threats and obstructing said children’s education and sense of safety. It has been truly heartbreaking to witness how many members of my community are such hateful people.
Only in America could the idea of using cat litter boxes for toilets in the event of a school shooting be seen as the less insane explanation for why a school would have litter boxes. "No, no, of course they're not for children who identify as cats. That would be mental. They're for school shootings." "Ah, I see. Well, that makes me feel so much better. As long as my child has a place to pee while dodging bullets, and isn't running around identifying as stuff, I'll sleep sound tonight."

The teachers and educators, who called in, made me actually cry. They try their hardest to make their students feel safe and instead the children grow up in a constant state of fear, because someone decides that terrorising children with violence is a completely normal response to seeing a rainbow flag. This is such a horrible story. I'm an older cisgender man who is a teacher and I'm trying very hard to educate myself in order to support all my students. Many, Lorenz, the work you're doing is, I'm sure, very hard but it's also extremely important. Yeah, it's concern trolling as a means to further the influence and power of a handful of people, and to justify the persecution of minorities who they hate not because they've done something to hurt anyone, but because they don't like having to tolerate and share a space with someone who is different. Let's not mince words, this branch of conservatism(and as far as I can tell, the majority of these people are either on board or enabling it through silence) is genocidal.
"Concerned about children." But don't do anything to help the children in foster care. Want to harm queer kids, doesn't try to make the world less racist for non-white non-European kids, doesn't support giving struggling children food, is okay with young girls being pregnant and giving birth though it fucks up their body, ect.
I think it's worse than simply stealing. Depending on the post, when she offers minimal or no commentary, then it isn't transformative and isn't fair use, and so it is theft of content. But the posts that she calls them "groomers", one could argue it's fair use as it's transformative via critique, but then that means it's just harassment and defamation. Either way it's simply ghoulish. And those poor kids, especially the queer ones who already are terrified just because of the shift in society. Then having the whole school evacuated because a teacher wanted to show that you are just as important as everyone else and valued. The amount of guilt that would weigh on them simply because they exist.
The first time I saw LoTT the video was of an young autistic person happy stimming saying "I'm so excited." So much hate towards them. Nothing political about it, they don't work with children, it was clearly about them being autistic and how they express themselves. They were non-binary but nothing in the video that was posted talked about it, so if that was the target why did they choose that video to post?
I grew up in a hyper conversative, very traditional environment. Both parents were around, but since Kindergarten, I knew I was different for liking the same sex. I attended church, I prayed before bed, I did all the "right" things. I was scared every single day of letting my parents down for being myself. I suppressed myself to conform to my parent's expectations. As an adult looking back, I wish I had those safe spaces to be myself, even if it was at school. If my experiences "groomed" me into who I am today, then I blame almost all conversative mindsets to me being a "failure" by their definition. One flag won't groom children, but the trauma these adults are putting children and other adults in will scar them for life (as I'm working through a lot of trauma myself for my experiences as described above). I really hope there is some sort of legislation to control these hate groups.

When this was pointed out, she doubled down claiming that the park's disclaimer for the event says "not recommended for children under 13", and therefore 13-18 is still technically children...once again ignoring that the show in question specifically has its own warning "This show contains adult themes and is not suitable for children". -Sharing videos of surgeons from Boston Children's Hospital of how gender affirming hysterectomies are performed, claiming they were being done on "young girls"...but conveniently left out the context that the minimum age for the procedure is 18, with another doctor's referral. The outrage it garnered led to several death and bomb threats against the hospital. Similar claims have been made about hospitals in Pittsburgh, Omaha, and Phoenix, all of which received violent threats after Chaya spun up lies about them. -Sharing an Oklahoma school librarian's tongue-in-cheek video about "pushing [a] woke agenda" unironically and spread with the help of state politicians (including the State Superintendent in charge of education)...but deceptively left out the original caption clarifying "My radical liberal agenda is teaching kids to love books and be kind." The school district was then inundated with bomb threats for several days, specifically targeting the librarian as well. But sure, tell me more about how she "simply reposts"...

my hospital here in DC where i go to for my cancer treatment has had a history of receiving bomb threats from libs of tiktok, i couldn't imagine the fear both children, parents and health care providers, imagine saying shit like "oh where just protecting the kids" and then doing this, hypocritical and cruel.

I know the individual in the first response. I would like to say this person is the kindest most caring teacher I have met. His students routinely came by the place I work and sung nothing but his praises. His dedication to art and making learning fun and accessible to all children is something I believe children can only benefit from. . He has never been anything but kind to me, and has never judged but has always listened to my own “coming out” story. The world is truly a worse place if teachers like him are no longer teaching. Yet I understand those that choose to give up the profession. I cannot imagine the stress experienced by these people, and I fear sometimes that I have not done enough to support them.
The responses at the end are so heartbreaking. It's just a few people speaking out about how they've been affected, and to think about all of the ones who we're not hearing from - the kids who are already terrified of going to school, or even being themselves at home, is so sad. Being a parent, being a queer person, being an educator, being all of the above, has to be so scary right now. It doesn't have to be this way. I'm a parent with an LGBTQ member on our school board and have witnessed some of that hatred in my own neighborhood. I hope we as a collective can vote in people who will enact change and hold hate responsible for the fear it creates, so that we can all co-exist in a place that feels safe. as someone whose school regularly got bomb threats (for russian trolling reasons) for a while, they are no joke. especially when they're sent to places with small children, because they're, y'know, children. they will start crying and they will be scared. school violence practically isn't a thing in my country (besides the bomb threats, but that's unrelated) so i can't imagine how it must've been in the states.

Boston Children's gave me my hrt years ago and they warned me about the threats and occasional protesters when I started going there for hrt. I had been there a couple times before for unrelated health problems and didn't know about that beforehand. that place is by far the best hospital I have ever been to and the only one I've been truly happy to be in the care of, the vast majority of people who work there are incredibly caring and a joy to be around even when you're sick. I get so upset for everyone at the hospital whenever those hateful people try to drag them down or threaten them, many of whom have extra difficulties in emergency situations. I do not remotely understand how someone could possibly become motivated to commit any act of hatred targeting sickly children just because some of them are trans and might not be sick. how does anyone justify that that happened and was related to their work and keep going on with their work? she lies about it being unrelated, claims there's a reward for any evidence of who did it, ridiculous and cowardly.
This is just blood curdling. It's so ironic that this person responsible for so much terror and fear towards the queer community, lacks so much charisma and character that other peddlers like her carry.

I'm also queer, and I've lived through domestic violence, and I feel like it can come from a well-meaning place of privilege when people are like "get over it, do some yoga, let's talk about something nice." Also, I LOVE your style! You're freaking beautiful, and you're covering really important topics.
I do feel optimistic about the future despite the shitty present because the kids in school now won’t forget who called in bomb threats in their schools, who banned black history books, who won’t protect them from gun violence.

As someone going into the field of education it is rough out here. I constantly have to remind myself that this shouldn't be the way things are, because the absolute batshit insanity is so pervasive that it begins to feel normal. Like, the last account in this video? It really got to me, because I have been that kid AND that teacher. I've experienced multiple shootings in my lifetime, I've experienced multiple death threats in my lifetime, all entirely at random by complete strangers who were so angry at the monster under the bed that they turned to this kind of violence. I'm not old enough to remember a world where these things weren't always something that could happen to you, and I worry that for my students that'll only continue to be true if not worse. And it doesn't surprise me that a lot of other trans people have been dropping out of the profession, because teachers are already being expected to be selfless, untouchable, invulnerable guardians on top of all our official duties - never mind constantly having to worry that you'll be put in the spotlight of the internet like a steak thrown to a pack of hungry dogs. It's an insane standard to uphold someone to, constantly having to consider their image ON TOP OF the threat of violence against themselves and their students AND teaching them the content. In the end we're just human, and there's only so much stress one person can take.

However a Norwegian version of the account, (as far as I know) is on Twitter but I wouldn't be surprised if they're on TikTok.
The story of that kid asking the teacher if they were gonna die today almost made me cry. It sickens me that the people making these threats claim to want to protect children from us and at the same time make a 10 year old have a thought like that cross their mind.
I was a student in one of the districts mentioned. The local chapter of “moms for liberty” has been protesting outside our schools and at community events for months now in the name of protecting the children whilst simultaneously calling in false bomb threats and obstructing said children’s education and sense of safety. It has been truly heartbreaking to witness how many members of my community are such hateful people.
Please specify this bomb threat, when and where? You know you are just making this stuff up, it’s so see through.

This is such a horrible story. I'm an older cisgender man who is a teacher and I'm trying very hard to educate myself in order to support all my students. I think it's worse than simply stealing. Depending on the post, when she offers minimal or no commentary, then it isn't transformative and isn't fair use, and so it is theft of content. But the posts that she calls them "groomers", one could argue it's fair use as it's transformative via critique, but then that means it's just harassment and defamation. Either way it's simply ghoulish.
And those poor kids, especially the queer ones who already are terrified just because of the shift in society. Then having the whole school evacuated because a teacher wanted to show that you are just as important as everyone else and valued. The first time I saw LoTT the video was of an young autistic person happy stimming saying "I'm so excited." So much hate towards them. Nothing political about it, they don't work with children, it was clearly about them being autistic and how they express themselves. They were non-binary but nothing in the video that was posted talked about it, so if that was the target why did they choose that video to post?
I grew up in a hyper conversative, very traditional environment. Both parents were around, but since Kindergarten, I knew I was different for liking the same sex. I attended church, I prayed before bed, I did all the "right" things. I was scared every single day of letting my parents down for being myself. I suppressed myself to conform to my parent's expectations. As an adult looking back, I wish I had those safe spaces to be myself, even if it was at school. If my experiences "groomed" me into who I am today, then I blame almost all conversative mindsets to me being a "failure" by their definition. One flag won't groom children, but the trauma these adults are putting children and other adults in will scar them for life (as I'm working through a lot of trauma myself for my experiences as described above). I really hope there is some sort of legislation to control these hate groups.

-Sharing videos of surgeons from Boston Children's Hospital of how gender affirming hysterectomies are performed, claiming they were being done on "young girls"...but conveniently left out the context that the minimum age for the procedure is 18, with another doctor's referral. The outrage it garnered led to several death and bomb threats against the hospital. Similar claims have been made about hospitals in Pittsburgh, Omaha, and Phoenix, all of which received violent threats after Chaya spun up lies about them.
-Sharing an Oklahoma school librarian's tongue-in-cheek video about "pushing [a] woke agenda" unironically and spread with the help of state politicians (including the State Superintendent in charge of education)...but deceptively left out the original caption clarifying "My radical liberal agenda is teaching kids to love books and be kind." The school district was then inundated with bomb threats for several days, specifically targeting the librarian as well.

my hospital here in DC where i go to for my cancer treatment has had a history of receiving bomb threats from libs of tiktok, i couldn't imagine the fear both children, parents and health care providers, imagine saying shit like "oh where just protecting the kids" and then doing this, hypocritical and cruel.
Powerful stuff. I feel like we hear about Doxxing and Bomb Threats, but never hear from the people whom were on the receving end and the terror they go through. Thank you for showing us the raw emotion from the people actually there.

I know the individual in the first response. I would like to say this person is the kindest most caring teacher I have met. His students routinely came by the place I work and sung nothing but his praises. His dedication to art and making learning fun and accessible to all children is something I believe children can only benefit from. . He has never been anything but kind to me, and has never judged but has always listened to my own “coming out” story. The world is truly a worse place if teachers like him are no longer teaching. Yet I understand those that choose to give up the profession. I cannot imagine the stress experienced by these people, and I fear sometimes that I have not done enough to support them.

The responses at the end are so heartbreaking. It's just a few people speaking out about how they've been affected, and to think about all of the ones who we're not hearing from - the kids who are already terrified of going to school, or even being themselves at home, is so sad. Being a parent, being a queer person, being an educator, being all of the above, has to be so scary right now. It doesn't have to be this way. I'm a parent with an LGBTQ member on our school board and have witnessed some of that hatred in my own neighborhood. I hope we as a collective can vote in people who will enact change and hold hate responsible for the fear it creates, so that we can all co-exist in a place that feels safe. as someone whose school regularly got bomb threats (for russian trolling reasons) for a while, they are no joke. especially when they're sent to places with small children, because they're, y'know, children. they will start crying and they will be scared. school violence practically isn't a thing in my country (besides the bomb threats, but that's unrelated) so i can't imagine how it must've been in the states.
Absolutely infuriating. There must be something that can be done about this. At the very least those making threats should be prosecuted to make an example of them.

The stories from the kids and educators were horrific. I was literally crying listening to them.
They are literally experiencing terrorism at their places or work and study.

Boston Children's gave me my hrt years ago and they warned me about the threats and occasional protesters when I started going there for hrt. I had been there a couple times before for unrelated health problems and didn't know about that beforehand. that place is by far the best hospital I have ever been to and the only one I've been truly happy to be in the care of, the vast majority of people who work there are incredibly caring and a joy to be around even when you're sick. I get so upset for everyone at the hospital whenever those hateful people try to drag them down or threaten them, many of whom have extra difficulties in emergency situations. I do not remotely understand how someone could possibly become motivated to commit any act of hatred targeting sickly children just because some of them are trans and might not be sick. how does anyone justify that that happened and was related to their work and keep going on with their work? she lies about it being unrelated, claims there's a reward for any evidence of who did it, ridiculous and cowardly.
This is just blood curdling. It's so ironic that this person responsible for so much terror and fear towards the queer community, lacks so much charisma and character that other peddlers like her carry.

Hearing the people at the end made my heart heavy. I wish the people making bomb threats "for the sake of the children" understood how traumatic lockdowns could be, especially for little kids.
As someone going into the field of education it is rough out here. I constantly have to remind myself that this shouldn't be the way things are, because the absolute batshit insanity is so pervasive that it begins to feel normal.
Like, the last account in this video? It really got to me, because I have been that kid AND that teacher. I've experienced multiple shootings in my lifetime, I've experienced multiple death threats in my lifetime, all entirely at random by complete strangers who were so angry at the monster under the bed that they turned to this kind of violence. I'm not old enough to remember a world where these things weren't always something that could happen to you, and I worry that for my students that'll only continue to be true if not worse.
And it doesn't surprise me that a lot of other trans people have been dropping out of the profession, because teachers are already being expected to be selfless, untouchable, invulnerable guardians on top of all our official duties - never mind constantly having to worry that you'll be put in the spotlight of the internet like a steak thrown to a pack of hungry dogs. It's an insane standard to uphold someone to, constantly having to consider their image ON TOP OF the threat of violence against themselves and their students AND teaching them the content. In the end we're just human, and there's only so much stress one person can take.

Norwegian here, and first of all thanks to the both of you for this video ❤ Also here in Norway we have unfortunately noticed the same retorikk although it's mostly confined to troll accounts ~ mainly online and it's not that popular among the far-right politicians here.
However a Norwegian version of the account, (as far as I know) is on Twitter but I wouldn't be surprised if they're on TikTok.
The story of that kid asking the teacher if they were gonna die today almost made me cry. It sickens me that the people making these threats claim to want to protect children from us and at the same time make a 10 year old have a thought like that cross their mind.
