I actually really like the more 'developed' Ruby. She's kind of a blend between the childish, cutesy Volume 1-3 Ruby and some more mature and adult-ish traits. And she's arguably even more adorable for it!

@Whiterose Petal Tale Blake is secretly a New Antagonist Eva Morningstar. Ie the main big Bad of the Faunus Rights Movement. Her actions make the Faunus seem like Savages. She is quite good at lying, even to those she cares for. Following the Motif of Shadows Symbolizing Secrets. Morningstar is symbolism for the light that reveals what hides in the Shadows. And Eva is just an altered version of Eve, keeping to the Biblical Reference of the name. Also the Morningstars are a Well-Known, and Well-Respected family in Atlas, and the choice of name implies a Member of that family had a Child with a Faunus which is what Blake was going for when she created this Identity.

Saphron and her wife Terra Cotta may be the only homosexual couple in RWBY that I like. Mostly because it was established in their first episode so I got to know them as such and it wasn't fan influenced. Others I hate them.

Yeah I was going by RWBY wiki that lists 6'1" (185 cm) as his height. That said there was no source listed on it, so 190 could very well be the actual height.

Honestly, I didnt care about identity politics or representation in RWBY, I just made the comment because I wanted a funny laugh at how the circus has gotten out of hand.
You, however, have shown me how this show has dominated your life, and how its meanings are so near and dear to your heart that you cannot imagine it any other way.

As a bisexual man myself, whom identifies as a man, with a pretty impressive package😘, I am comfortable enough with my sexuality to not half to see it constantly thrown back in my face.

Instead, I would like some compelling characters, and great story telling, and some pretty cool visuals along the way.
That is the problem with this series. We are so concerned about what the goings on within the bedrooms of underaged teenage boys and girls (which is really disgusting, 🤢🤮🤮) rather than focusing on the action adventure that they are in.
I really think the creators have lost our way. (Since Monty has departed, and Miles/Kerry are trying to appeal to their overlords at Rooster Teeth, whom are trying to increase profits).
I wish we could just simply see a story where we do not have to care about a character's background, their sexual orientation, or the color of their skin.

However, I do have some issues with the fact that you think the idea between a 17 year old Weiss and a 15 year old Ruby is normal disgusting (🤮🤮🤮).
While we're on the subject, 17 is still considered under aged in the United States of America, and this is a US cartoon, no matter what culture is being portrayed.
Just so you know, Ilia is also supposed to be much older than Blake. Her "infatuation" is also very concerning to me.
Again, we can argue semantics but this is confirmed in the book that Ilia was always made to reflect the struggle all nonhetero people have with their straight friends.
Key word STRAIGHT.
Illia considers Blake her best friend, so much so that she trusted Blake with the secret of her "infatuation" with Blake.
I actually agree that a lot of what your saying. The show lost a lot after Monty's passing , because volume 3 was a bit of A Game of Thrones feel.
I'm going to give you volume 4, because it did introduce a very promising start to a new section of the series, but both volume 5 and 6 were very under performing.
That final battle in volume 5 was pitiful, but I liked the horseman Grimm
While volume 6, I can honestly say the greatest moments for me was when we got the episode, "the lost fable" and the Apathy Grimm, I really loved how creative that was.
Thus being said, I did not like the frequent changes in the characters dynamics from to season. After all, Yang was so focused on getting to Ruby and protecting her in volumes 4 and 5, but then in 6 they give a very very sappy, half assed, reconciliation with Blake while sprinkling a lot of bumblebee moments. Don't even get me started on the PTSD.
Honestly, the only reason I come back to this show is for one character alone: and that is Ruby.
She is the only one who has stayed consistent through-and-through with the series.
And I do not care what the critics say about her frequent, and long winded, monologue speeches, they are some of the best written dialogue I have ever seen. She inspires the best out of people and I put her right up there with Superman!!
