If you are or a loved one is experiencing OCD, there is hope. Visit learn.nocd.com/YT to get started with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, the most effective therapy for OCD.

Honestly, I clicked this video because recently been to the doctors because I was advised to get checked for OCPD, after going through the system here in the UK (which for me has been a like hell) therapy sessions want to give me ERP treatment for OCD (and currently on a waiting list), neither my doctor or this therapist has officially diagnosed me and it has been so stressful.
I have with help from family noticed I share a lot of traits with people with OCD and OCPD but I have never had this compulsion through fear/panc that something will happen if I do not carry out certain actions. More feel like that this action is the right way to do it, so why wouldn't I do it.
So my main question is, does ERP treatment mainly focus on the panic and fear that not doing said action causes? Or is there another side to it?
Because it often feels like getting health care professionals to listen fully or understand something they don't seem to have as much understanding about is so very tough.
