I think it’s too much money but then I suspect this intended for oversea markets more than the U.K. That said… what at this price offers that kind of practicality. If you’ve got this budget then it’s either practicality or the badge.
@@TechInTheCar I think if you’re not after the posh badge, you want EV and practicality, then this makes sense. You can spend this on diesel people movers based on vans. So, in one sense the cost doesn’t seem too bad. But I think 75k is too much but many people will buy this on lease or PCP and the it will be dependent on the deal.
@@TechInTheCar I have seen one in a Kia dealership whilst testing driving a Niro EV. They’re striking and look interesting. I think the styling cues will be interesting when they launch the EV3 and EV5.
NONSENSE! The Rivian R1S costs about the same as the high end Kia EV 9 Even before the confirmed dealer Markup and lack of EV tax credit. However, with a free junket, I can see why you would say that.
This is an abomination of a car, and a really bad sign of the way EV's are heading. Huge, super-expensive, massive battery and nearly 3ton in weight. This is not an eco car in any way, shape or form.
Can you recommend the best mid-sized SUV among Korean cars?

I think it is great value but of course it is expensive relative to smaller vehicles.

I always want to know the 0-60 in a massive SUV 7 seater ..... .... said no one.
It's quite useful, I'd like a 7 seater but I wouldn't consider something with 0-60 over 9 seconds
I mean 4.8 to 60 is impressive...
@@TechInTheCar If you know it weighs 2.7 ton 🙂

I love the Rivian but the markup and credits make it more expensive at the base than the top trim EV9.
It’s not a lot of car for the money , it’s a lot of money for the car.
This thing will depreciate faster than a pink 5.0 diesel Range Rover. 75k for Kia. The world is going mad!

Large SUVs exist - wouldn't you prefer battery electric to petrol or diesel?
