@@dariaslaby2441 hey, I'll gladly share my experience with Surface Book. I've been using the first gen SB since it came out and using it each and every day since. It's a solid device overall, but it has some issues in the early days. Updates over the years fixed all of the software issues, so I guess that later updates (SB2 & SB3) made it even more solid. I use it mostly on the desk, connected to a single 1440p monitor. I don't disconnect it too often, but it still reminds me how cool it is to disconnect the screen to lay down on the couch and read or markup some docs with it. It still is my go-to device. Whenever someone asks me to recommend a good laptop these days, I always recommend getting SB1, SB2 or SB3 depending on the budget. It still takes out most of the other devices in most use case scenarios. Unless you are a gaming person, but then I would always recommend getting a good desktop PC for gaming and SB for everything else. Note taking is great on the SB. Especially from SB2 version. I would recommend getting Raphael pen instead of the Microsoft's pen. Cheers!

The feet smoothness can be addressed with a little rubbing with a medium grit sand paper to rough it up a bit...that should add a good bit of friction between them and the surface and reduce slippage. FYI

I'd like to but unfortunately HP basically told me to get lost in terms of borrowing review units, and they cost a lot of money in my country, so I'd have to get a lot of requests to consider purchasing it to cover.
My wife got this laptop. There was no issues until recently some keys in the keyboard panel started to cause problems. Some keys get pressed automatically. Now I have to disconnect the built-in keyboard as there is no software based solution such as disabling or uninstalling the keyboard driver. the disable button is greyed out and uninstalling does not help because windows reinstall the driver after every restart. Also removing one of the anti slide rubber pads just to access the screws sucks.
The setup reminds me so much of Dave's setup. Not that it's bad, it's a nice setup that's clean and pleasing. I hope it will evolve into your very own unique setup as this channel grows, which I'll be contributing to now by subscribing! I have some ideas but I can bet everyone here knows which channel they're from: 1. Fake plants 2. Light tubes (yeah no, don't do this) 3. Light panels (perhaps later?) 4. Table lamp? Floor lamp? 5. Hi I have a question I currently connect my monitor with an HDMI and charge with the USB-C. If I buy this can I just use the C port for both display and charging? I'm a little nervous about the port situation.
I just got the C940 14 inch with the I7 and 12gigs of ram today. I charged it to 97%, using it off and on since 4pm, its 11pm now. 26% power. I had to install the intel software to update drivers for bluetooth and wifi as the bluetooth headphones kept getting audio cuts. After the driver updates out of the box that was fixed, but i noticed the bottom gets quite warm, if not hot after youtubing and playing light games. Its quite annoying, I am thinking of taking it back and getting an I5. First day using it and it getting that hot (in intelligent cooling) really bothers me.
I guess I don't have much experience with different options, so to me it's just a pen. What sort of tests can one do with it without being a pro artist?

This model has some manufacturing defect and as per lenovo's technician at that service centre mention to me three similar cases. I thought it was a cool product but trust me you don't want to own one unless....
I've used mine for three full weeks, about 60 hours per week. The fans are fine in the mode it comes set for. I haven't tried changing it to performance mode in the BIOS yet and I've got the i7, so ymmv.

Bought a C940 but had to return it - the screen was loose and was 'peeling away' from the body. Didn't feel like dropping €1600 on a faulty machine. Was brilliant otherwise though!

Am i the only one who thinks this is a good idea, making an ideal device for gamers, content creators, animators, and artists, that is a desktop replacement laptop/tablet/all in one?
Depends on what games you plan on playing, without discrete graphics most games are going to do pretty bad even at lower settings 720p. Those other options sound quite different! That said I don't personally have experience with those so can't really say, I haven't tested too many that fit the tablet part.

@@JarrodsLaptops Would make a great students laptop. Perfect form factor, touch display with built in pen for taking notes and highlighting text, the occasional video watching and the excellent battery life. Lenovo's keyboards also give you a very crisp typing experience. ✅⭐
It is the same as the Active Pen, but slightly thinner. The buttons are more recessed and harder to find than on the Active Pen. I prefer the Active Pen over the built in one, but the built in one stays with the laptop, so it's far more convenient.

@@JarrodsLaptops Would make a great students laptop. Perfect form factor, touch display with built in pen for taking notes and highlighting text, the occasional video watching and the excellent battery life.
Lenovo's keyboards also give you a very crisp typing experience. ✅⭐

Is the pen Lenovo Active Pen 2? Or some other pen?
I'm not actually sure on that, it looks like that one, but other people online say it isn't and the specs didn't indicate it.
It is the same as the Active Pen, but slightly thinner. The buttons are more recessed and harder to find than on the Active Pen. I prefer the Active Pen over the built in one, but the built in one stays with the laptop, so it's far more convenient.

Depends how slow you can deal with, I didn't bother testing it due to lack of discrete GPU.

Yup, it has got a great camera and mic.
16 by 9 reflective glossy display is a deal breaker.
