Jon’s Phantom is absolutely amazing! His voice is beautiful! His performance at His Majesty’s Theatre was incredible! His Phantom is so heartbreaking, he’s so lovesick and emotional

Wasn't impressed by either, green cloak is the worst Christine I've seen with her chicken cackling and thick accent. Both need vocal training.

I was surprised when Jon started singing, it was the first time I heard Jon's voice (I know him on social media but I don't know his voice yet). His voice is so warm and I love it so much, plus the cheers from the audience makes me even more excited!!

what a stage presence Jon has!!!! Incredible! Power, control, charisma, emotion, sensibility, singing. Just the right amount of vibrato at the right time. Saw him live twice in one week, it still haunts me to this day

All of them are absolutely amazing 😊😊, Jon and Holly might just be my new favourite pairing. The way the two act with each other is amazing. Plus, paige and Mat were also amazing:)

Oh my god! This Raoul is so good! The voice is such a perfect prince charming. He and Christine's pronunciation is beautiful as well~

One of the enduring strengths of this musical is it's ability to showcase the various performer's and their individual interpretations of their characters. There are as many Phantom's, Christine's and Raoul's as there are performers doing the roles.

That’s Holly Anne Hull!! She’s the current principal Christine, and was alternate when Lucy St. Louis was principal!! She’s one of my favourite Christine’s, her voice is phenomenal!

I went to see phantom a couple of days ago and in the interval I turned to the person i saw it with and we both said we need to see it again with this cast. We were right at the top right at the back so it wasn't the best view but it was amazing, if I were to go again I would sit in the royal circle as I've heard it's got and amazing view. I would definitely recommend watching it while Jon robyns is in it because he is genuinely my favourite phantom and is amazing at it as well as all of the cast.

There is a looooot of possibilty there with Jon Robyns, he plays the lovesick Phantom so so well, it's heartbreaking, but also, I happen to be a big fan of a phantom that's just a little bit more consistently unhinged, I-I really need to see him in an actual production before making any hard and fast judgements though, I bet his acting is a bit more focused and better than this in the show.
That's exactly the impression I'm getting too, based on this. Lovesick /puppy dog style but no signs of that deep angst / madness? Anyone seen him life and could confirm please?
@@DanyMusiccI saw him on 04/04/23, which would've been his second performance, so I can't speak for how much it has probably changed since then. But when I saw him, his performance was heartbreaking. He's not as unhinged as other Phantoms, but he does lean quite heavily into the fear and hurt that ths character feels (which I'm more of a fan of personally). Saying that, he does a great job of letting you know exactly what he's feeling with every line and he does have a good level of manic-ness in Stranger Than You dreamt It (one of his best moments imo). I would definitely recommend seeing him because he gives a great performance, but I think that while he can still do unhinged, it's mainly the fear, anger and heartbreak where his performance thrives.

@@Phantom_of_the_501st Wow this REALLY makes me want to see it. I've known about Jon for a few months now and I've wanted to see him live for SO LONG. Hoping I can go in January he sounds like an amazing phantom. I adore his rendition of music of the night I think his version is my favorite.
@@DanyMusiccI saw him This Saturday just gone and I thought he was the love sick version. Don’t get me wrong I like the love sick phantom but for me it has to be balanced with the unhinged aggressive version. An vice versa I don’t like it to be all aggression and lack of the tender love sickness. Personally for me the best phantoms are those who can find the balance between those, I don’t really like it when it’s a me sided

Using same sound guy every year,cast amazing but the sound department are worse I've heard
His Majesty's was built to be an opera house so has perfect acoustics, it's not going to be the same here.
@@valeriebaker9512has nothing to do with being in opera house the volume of performance is low and is always low,watch past west end live vids ,the sound department isn't the best on west end live ,all they have to do is turn it up more be ok as when I play another video I get deafened cause volume is high lol

jon is still new to the role and getting into the character, he’s still learning to put his own twist on it and he’s still vocally recovering from being principal valjean. i personally don’t understand the ramin hype as there are stronger phantoms than him, but bare in mind that jon is still warming into the role
Hey, I saw Jon in Phantom at His Majesty's yesterday. I can assure you he was fantastic and his take of the phantom was the best I've seen in a while. Every actor does it so differently and I'm definitely a fan of Jon's phantom.
That's ridiculous, there are so many men who have played him around the world, you can't have seen them all so it's silly to say that one is better than the rest.
