You can definetly see an improvement in the quality of fan films over the years. Not only in the obvious like camera quality, but also in acting and setting. It's really nice to see.

Thank you so much for this. What a great watch along. You really understand what it means to make a fan film (and the limitations)
Budget is really the biggest hurdle, especially with no way to recoup. But like you said, it’s a labour of love and it’s so encouraging when I see reactions like this. That really means the world to me.
I know there are a few seams…first time I’ve made a film. But I hope to build off this and just keep enjoying being creative with this Galaxy I love so much.

You should give Star Wars Forgotten Enemy a watch. It's a 14 minute flick made by close friends. It's everything a fan film is about.
