All this beauty makes feel so humble...man is really the “bling of an eye”. I’m so grateful for this poetic video as well as I am for the most funny ones. Thank you Keith and co. !
I've been fascinated by caves since I was an early teenager, I've said for years that I'll one day get into it. I've watched videos on it for years, some of the sights are genuinely fascinating and so special given how barely anyone gets to see these places. Unfortunately I've just never really had the opportunity or the company to try this with! You'll always have some amazing stories to tell, and for that I'm so very jealous! P.S. The quality of these videos are bloody amazing! Thank you providing such beautiful videos!
Hi Greg. Wow, thanks for writing such a lovely comment. I do enjoy making videos. When I started I never ever thought that they would be watched by thousands of people. TH-cam is a great place for amateur film makers to publish their work.
@@CaverKeith You're very welcome, it's nice to see someone with your level of passion, in both your filming and caving. I'm really glad I found your videos and I do hope you don't stop any time soon! Maybe some day we'll cross paths out there (when I finally build the courage to start!), even if there's not much in the way of cave systems in Northamptonshire haha!
I'm hoping the make a few more caving videos before I hang up my wellies although there's nothing planned at the moment. There aren't any caves in Dudley either! 😄
Hi Greg, not sure whereabouts in the world you live, but if you're interested in caving the best thing to do is find out if there are any caving clubs in your area and contact them. Most are happy to welcome new members and take novices. In the UK the main caving areas are the Mendips (Somerset), Yorkshire Dales, S.Wales and the peak District in Derbyshire. Some show caves and adventure centres also offer brief adventure trips suitable for novices. Many universities have clubs too (that's how I started). I also used to take groups of scouts. To begin with you don't need much equipment to go down many novice caves, just some wellies, old clothes and an oversuit/boiler suit, an LED head torch and a helmet. You may be able to hire these e.g. at Bernies cafe in Ingleton, Yorkshire. If you decide caving is for you then you can splash out on your own gear, e.g.wet socks and knee-pads (both a must!), wetsuit, SRT kit (for going up and down ropes), etc. I've added a couple of links that you may find useful. Hope that's helpful. newtocaving.com/ www.bcra.org.uk/ www.wildplaces.co.uk/ ukcaving.com/board/
Breathtaking Keith. I particularly liked part 1. I think I've seen a bit of both before, but so nice to see again. Thank you for another top quality video.
Im just a beginner but so far so good and I love it, thanks to you Mr.Keith Edwards. You have helped me with my biggest fear, the phobia of small enclosed places. Awesome video by the way! Keep up the awesome work, be safe and may the good Lord bless you on all your outings.....
Hi. Thanks for watching my videos and pleased to hear that they have helped with your fear of small enclosed spaces. I'm pleased that you like this video too and for your best wishes. We do try to stay safe.
Wow! This video does seem to have gone down quite well and to think it had been languishing on my computer for a couple of years because I didn't think it was worth uploading.
Dear Keith Thank you and congratulations about this video. Superb as usual. About the question "Why do we do it?" I will simply answer: "Because we don't all want to land on Mars or Jupiter. There is enough to explore and discover in our own planet." Best regards Jean-François
I stumbled on your videos and have been binge watching the old ones. I thought to go to your newest and wow!. You have really stepped up your game as far as video and editing quality. So beautiful!! I would love to see these on the big screen or better yet, in IMAX 3D.
Very kind of you to say so. As you may have read in the description, this was made 2 years ago but has only recently been uploaded. I entered it in a couple of competitions and it came nowhere so I assumed it had little merit.
How this wasn't accepted by the Kendal Mountain Film Festival is beyond me because its excellent Keith!!!!! I do have a question though. Is it normal in the UK to descend with the rope in a bag attached to your harness? Here in the US we just throw the rope down into the cave. just curious.
Pleased you like it. I've given up trying to work out what video competition judges are looking for. One of my films gained best in show in one competition, gained a merit (not a distinction) in another but didn't even make the top 20 in a third. The answer to your question is yes. I was taught that there is a possibility that a rope could snag if thrown down a pitch.
I didn't descend to the bottom on the day I took this video, but there is very little cave at the bottom before reaching a sump where the cave passage is completely flooded to the roof.
Keith. As great as the caves are what's even greater is the quality of your content. Great shots and edit. Enjoyed this one muchly
Wow. Great to hear from you and pleased you like the video.

Gorgeous video, beautiful cave. Thanks Keith.
Thanks for the great comment - appreciated.

Hi Alice. Pleased you like it. It is mainly made up of two other videos but it does seem to have gone down well with subscribers.
The photography in this film/video is spectacular. So much has changed since my days underground
Thanks for your kind words.

Hi Jean-François. Good to hear from you and pleased you like the video. I go caving for the adventure, excitement and because it's great fun.

@@CaverKeith Maybe you need a new competition...
Great video as always. The angles of the abseiling were especially cool, with the mist all about.
I agree. All of my videos are pretty rubbish so there was no real need to point it out, but thanks for taking the time.
@@CaverKeith The videos are all top class, I was just drunk and made a stupid comment. I'm subbed for a reason. The content is great.
Thanks.
I wish we had caves like these in Australia....
Thanks for sharing
Nice work Keith,
sorry VERY nice work Keith :o)
Thanks Paul. I aim to please.

Beautiful, but what's at the bottom of alum pot?
