Uriah heep, judas priest and old rock bands like rainbow are not so famous. But who listens to their music, it sure its for the music. Awesome live version !!

well i can only comment on bands ive seen,so id say the red hot chilli peppers as they were amazing and didnt stand still for 2 hours and patti smith came on and did 2 songs with them,and i saw clapton at the albert hall in 06,musically was fantastic but as a show might as well have listened to a cd

When Gary Thain joined as bassist in the same general time-frame, Uriah Heep became a truly "improved" band. Their next album was "Demons and Wizards", followed shortly by "The Magician's Birthday" (maybe their best studio album). Their first live effort, "Uriah Heep Live", which I didn't think showed them at their best, was their sixth.
This is amazing. Ken Hensley wrote a masterpice, that's for sure! Bernie sings it better then anyone, Mick keeps the strings tight, and nice backing vocals from the laides to.. This is great!
Although Mick is the only original member the guys that have joined and gone etc have always been well know professionals and respected. Bernie although not the original singer has been singing with them for almost 30 years.
Being an old fart I should know this, but, when and where was this? I just saw these guys at summerfest2010 in Milwaukee under a full moon. That was the tenth time I've seen them and it was as good as the first. (back in the 70's)
