I agree the same fight with Violet and Xaden over and over was too much. I feel like I need more Dragon history and world building within the dragon dens. It’s so great I just need more.
don't be shy katie. we love your bookshelf reorganization moment in every video. just give it to us. maybe i need to reorganize mine. anyway, i can't explain how much i anticipated this specific reading vlog since your tbr video. i love this so so much
I wasn't crazy about Iron Flame. At least a quarter the book was Violet complaining about Xaden and their relationship, and another quarter was spent on telling us over and over about the chemistry between them
At the moment I am 70% into Iron Flame and enjoying it so much and reading Belladonna. My next reads after those are Clockwork Princess and Powerless. So many great books coming out that it has been hard to keep up. Happy reading!
I really liked fourth wing but I LOVED iron flame. I’m not a fantasy reader though. I’m a literary fiction and historical fiction fan. But I just love the action and deep thinking and details the author put into this series. I’m so happy to love a series!!! 🙌
I love watching your videos. Sending much love from Germany. Currently reading and enjoying Iron Flame, Igot it for Christmas and I´m already on page 718/955. Probably gonna rate this book 5 stars. The german edition has a coloured map, and underneath the dust jacket it has a cool dragon face. Already loved Fourth Wing and A court of silver flames (Das Reich der sieben Höfe - Silbernes Feuer) this year. Wishing you a good start in the next year
The german version of Iron Flame is 960 pages 🙂 I‘m so scared But I‘m really glad to see your video because your review is the first review of Iron Flame that is kind of „good“, I almost decided to not even read it at all but you made me rethink to at least try 🤠
Not gonna lie, I missed the fantasy book vlogs. I love all your vlogs, but the ones where you read fantasy books are just next level of magical and whimsical. Thank you for gracing us with these beautiful vlogs❤
I binged Iron Flame in 3 days and my thoughts exactly- too long, a lot of info dumping, and a slower pacing than Fourth Wing. I was OBSESSED with Fourth Wing but to me Iron Flame was just great not an obsession. So excited for the rest of the series and can’t stop thinking about it. Such a book hangover I haven’t picked anything else up since I’ve finished..
If you’re playing video games try Stardew Valley I love it and it’s so cozy you inherent a farm and you doing farming work and raise animals and there’s a town with villagers and you can make friends go on side quests for them and even get married and have children very fun
I haven't read either of those books but I did start the Caraval trilogy recently so I can hopefully next year read the Once Upon a Broken Heart series because I've heard so many good things about it. I'm excited because today one of my anticipated releases should arrive at my house and I can read Vengeance of the Pirate Queen finally!!
Loved the video as always. I just finished 'A curse for true love' and it was great. Yess, I also understand the critiques but I love these characters so much. I just enjoyed my time. But like you said, now what? I kind of feel like starting all over again and going back to Caraval but I still have so many books on my TBR I can't justify it. 😅
I love when you organize your bookshelves it motivates me to do mine lol and I love your journal spread....such an inspiration.....I have 13 maybe 14 books to read by the end of the year and my new releases im gonna start in January that way I don't overload myself...already been in 4 slumps since August lol but thank you for another amazing video
Oh oh. You're reading Iron Flame. I didn't finish it yet but I'm gonna pretend you didn't saya anything. Haha. But ohh I've been waiting for your videos. Kinda comforting. Just playing on the background while I did my chores. Love ya! Keep it up.
I’m starting to read Fourth Wing and I feel like it’s going to be super fun! (Something much needed after reading pride and prejudice and animal farm in a row)
a curse for true love was my favorite of the series! i just finished it and i enjoyed it way more than the first 2 which i thought were okay like 3 stars
Currently I am reading Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, But I cant wait to get these books they seem like interesting reads. Thanks for the video Katie.
Omg Iron Flame! So many things happen, is not only the love story...it hits all emotions! The characters ♥️ I have 3 hours left, and I don't even know what to read after, cause my heart is like... So many emotions!
i literally just reorganized my bookshelf omg 😭 i've been seeing the series for fourth wing and once upon a broken heart everywhere so i think i'm gonna head to my local barnes and pick them up this week
Such a good reading vlog ✨ I’ve been saving this video for when I myself finish Iron Flame and now I could finally watch it. Totally with you regarding the writing in FW/IF, I see it for what it is and it doesn’t affect my enjoyment level but it really isn’t the best 🥲❣️
It feels like we had the opposite reactions to A curse for true love and Iron Flame hahah. ☺️😆 I was REALLY disappointed by ACFTL, felt like it went on for ages without anything happening and like the writing wasn't at all as good as the other books. But I loved Iron Flame haha!! It wasn't as good as the first but I really didn't feel like it was too long. Very interesting! 🥰
I’ve just started watching this video but I can’t continue without saying that you’re absolutely gorgeous in the intro! Just amazing! ❤ now I’ll continue watching, thank you, see you at the end ❤
Currently reading starling house, so into this book, also trying to get thru empire of the vampire not so inspired on that one and waiting for my fourth wing to come in and see what I think of this series 📚🧛🌙🐺
To be honest I think Iron Flame was the right size. Maybe it was slow at moments, but I think it was needed. If it would've been more fast paced we would've missed some things. The downtime I think was cool because we were able to spend more time with the characters. For me Violet was plain annoying because as you said the fights were repetitive, I was always rolling my eyes when I was getting to those parts, but I think it also shows the age and the immaturity of the characters at that age... same goes with the cringey dialogue. This is how it is in your early 20's :))). When you are 30 or 40 and you look back you are like, man, I really had a good opinion about myself cuz I was both immature and cringe :))). Also, I think every bit of information in IF would help with the story in the next 3 books, so maybe the slow moments from now will be exactly what we need to understand what's gonna happen in the next books. Who knows... If you look at some of the things that were said in FW you'll see that it helped the story here. For example Xaden's signet. He talked about that one in the past, even in the 1st part of IF, Violet just didn't want to put the pieces together :)). Idk, these are my 2 cents on IF. I really loved it and I think the curse of the 2nd book did not happen here, thank everything that's holly.
Hi Katie, I've just started your vid but I thought I should say that whenever you have moments where the music takes over it's like 50-100% louder than your talking parts in your vids. I really love watching your videos but I always have to crank the volume down then back up during those moments. :(
Okay just started the video but the way I gasped when you said Hollow Knight omg, that's one of my favorite games of all time and it's amazing. Now you can join the rest of us in the hell that is waiting for the sequel 🙃Also if you like that one, would highly recommend checking out the Ori games (Ori and the Blind Forest is the first one), it's much smaller scale but has a lot of similar elements (not sure if it's on Switch though).
Haven't read Iron Flame (or Fourth Wing) yet, but I have the same issue with needing the tension/angst in romantic relationships. Like, when Bones and Seeley got together in the TV show Bones, the spark disappeared for me. I need the angst.
I'm seriously considering dnfing spy family too. It's just not as good anymore which is honestly heartbreaking. 😢 By the way, have you read Swordheart by T. Kingfisher? If you haven't, I think you'd like it, it's definitely your vibe.
I'm about to begin the audiobook of Iron Flame. I wasn't expecting my library hold to be available this soon, so I'm really excited. I just finished Fourth Wing last week, so everything is still fresh in my mind.
How are you liking Hollow Knight? It was ported to xbox game pass some time ago. While ive never been into platformers, if you really think it's worth it, i just might give it a dl.
Hello Katie !!! Your content is my highlight of my week ! I want to read OUABH trilogy ! Did you read caraval series before ? I have fourth Wings in my TBR. I want to read it so far but I am scared to not like it ! I have to decrease my expectations 😅 !
i gave 3 stars to a curse for true love, i wasn't a super fan of it unfortunatelly! i loved the second book in the trilogy but this one was SOOOO slow and nothing happened really, and stephanie used de majority of the book to talk about apollo (no one cares about him like)
no you don’t need to read caraval first; if you start with ouabh, caraval is already basically spoiled in the series. but if you’d like more context on jacks’s character and development, read the caraval trilogy first. for me personally, i read the ouah and tbona before the caraval trilogy and preferred it that way because jacks is in both but is introduce in the second book of caraval: legendary. i like getting into caraval knowing i’d meet jacks because i love him as a character. caraval is more plot based while ouabh is character based but ofc it has plot. i also enjoyed the ouabh trilogy more than caraval.
unchecked privilege, wilful ignorance, selective thinking on oppression do that to them ig. a white woman can recognise and condemn colonialism as long as it’s fictionalised (babel), but when it is happening right in front of them, their unchecked privileged selves suddenly are too weak to do anything, not even stop publicly supporting shit people. so embarrassing

I love watching creating spreads for reading journals.
Katie, I'll have you know, you motivated me to reorganize my bookshelves, so now I have books all over my floor XD haha I love your videos
At the moment I am 70% into Iron Flame and enjoying it so much and reading Belladonna. My next reads after those are Clockwork Princess and Powerless. So many great books coming out that it has been hard to keep up. Happy reading!

I don’t know if I’m the only one that noticed this but I loved the music in this video hahah 😌🦇
Every one of her vids has S tier music.

I'm hoping that my Iron flame book shows up tomorrow and after watching this vlog I'm so excited. I still have to reread Fourth wing though.
That edition of If We Were Villains looks absolutely gorgeous ✨
I’m starting to read Fourth Wing and I feel like it’s going to be super fun!
(Something much needed after reading pride and prejudice and animal farm in a row)
Rebecca yarros supports Israel and genocide, don’t support her.
Pride & Prejudice is A LOT more fun than Fourth Wing though
@@catIing what I mean is I want something super easy to read. Like a guilty pleasure of sorts
WE LOVE YOU KATIE
a curse for true love was my favorite of the series! i just finished it and i enjoyed it way more than the first 2 which i thought were okay like 3 stars
47:46 I wouldn't be surprised if they make a book ONLY with the letters....
Currently I am reading Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, But I cant wait to get these books they seem like interesting reads. Thanks for the video Katie.
I rated Iron Flame 4.5 stars. I enjoyed reading the sequel, and look forward to reading the following books in The Empyrean series!
Can't wait to read Iron Flame! Curious to see what you'll think about it.
omg the way you cut the video to match the music when you were starting a curse for true love was soo good!
Have started Iron Flame - can’t wait to see what happens in the last hundred pages !
i’m waiting at my library for iron flame 🙈 i’m number 136 in line 😭 and they only have one copy right nowww ugh living through you rn

I loved curse of true love so much!!
Katie what do you listen to while you’re reading? ❤️
I'm curious too. I happen to listen to George Winston. Would make a very interesting survey.

I haven't finished the video yet but loving the long vlogs.
all of your journal spreads are always so cute!!

Amazing vid, like always. Also your shelves look amazing!!❤
you remind me of daphne from bridgerton!
I read A Curse for True Love the day it came out and gave it 4 stars. I got Iron Flame, but I probably won't read it until January.
The name of the Fourth Wing series is called The Empyrean
gosh the journal looks gorgeous
your hair looks so cute in the claw clip!!
Thank God, I’m so anxious and now I can sit and watch you for an hour to calm myself down. ❤
ALWAYS LOVE your reading vlogs!! And also, you really look like Rory Gilmore. Beautiful! Happy holidays to you and your family, Katie. 😊
Love the earrings!! 🤩⚔😍
Fabulously insightful review as usual Found the first book quite brutal in parts ! Im looking forward to reading iron flame shortly. 🐉🎆
Omg Hollow Knight !! Genuinely one of the best games out there. ♥
Hollow Knight is soo cute! I like to play it as well 😊
I felt the same about A Curse For True Love tbh. I enjoyed it but the plot... 😅
I had the SAME EXACT thoughts during and after reading iron flame 🤣
Currently reading starling house, so into this book, also trying to get thru empire of the vampire not so inspired on that one and waiting for my fourth wing to come in and see what I think of this series 📚🧛🌙🐺
Ik the B&N edition is in Jack's POV but what's the waterstones version??? 📖📚

Since you like reading and you just got a switch you should get the game lost words beyond the page
we need more game reviews!!
I was secretly psyched when she mentioned being into games.
Libby is a subscriber clearly 💀
Um….right when I finished this video my hold of Iron Flame came through on Libby…….I’M SCARED! 😂
I agree, men in fantasy books get away with more things than men in normal romance books do 😶😂
Loved this vlog your fourth wing vlog is my fav❤❤❤🎉
I am not going to read Iron Flame right now since I actually didn’t like Fourth Wing that much. But I still want to see if maybe I can try again!
where is your sweater from? it looks so cozy 🥺
i absolutely love your city of forks sweater!! where did you get it from?
I love Hollow Knight and you are right. I preordered my copy of Iron Flame from Barnes and I still don't have it!
Where did you get your bookshelf lights? 🤩✨They look stunning✨

The way I watched all of this and didn’t even realize an hour passed…
I thank the book overlords whenever I find a channel that is into fantasy, manga, and video games lmao
I definitely preferred fourth wing to iron flame. Iron flame was harder to read

I have fourth Wings in my TBR. I want to read it so far but I am scared to not like it ! I have to decrease my expectations 😅 !
hi! i recommend reading the caraval trilogy first; because if you read OUABH first, it’ll spoil a good amount of caraval
I’m trying so hard to get through iron flame rn and the fact that I’m watching this and not reading it says so much like I am so bored reading it
i gave 3 stars to a curse for true love, i wasn't a super fan of it unfortunatelly! i loved the second book in the trilogy but this one was SOOOO slow and nothing happened really, and stephanie used de majority of the book to talk about apollo (no one cares about him like)
