To anyone who is confused about the situation. This is a Patent infringement lawsuit, not a Copyright infringement like everyone thought back in the day. So this lawsuit has nothing to do with artwork or character design. Instead it involves mechanics. The apparent mechanics in question (I could be wrong) that Nintendo has patented and are suing for are (so far) (1) The targeting system of tossing an (not an orb) object at a creature in an overworld, like what we see in Legends Arceus. (2) Mounting and Dismounting a flying creature in the overworld. (3) And releasing creatures into the over world via an object. What's even crazier is that the patent(s) was apparently filed in May of this year which was AFTER Palworld's release. And was a month or so right before Sony and Pocketpair publicly announced a new partnership to branch Palworld into many of the same avenues of entertainment and media that Pokemon has experienced.
(2) is wild, how the fuck you gonna patent something like that? Like no seriously though, the fact can patent fucking gameplay mechanics is fucking disgusting, Nintendo seriously needs to lose this lawsuit or the gaming industry as a whole is fucked.
Patenting game mechanics is such a dick move. Loading screen mini games were patented which is why you hardly saw them (and now there's no point in having them with how fast games load nowadays), the Nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor is patented which sucks because that system has so much potential in RPGs and other games and the upcoming GTA 6 supposedly patented several systems like an AI model that can generate different interiors to help make as many enterable buildings as possible.

Even if it didn't its not the end of the world as there has been so many ports, remasters and remakes of games from the PS1 - PS3 era of popular games that most people would actually want to play these days anyways. If you're thinking PS6 price will be bad going off PS5 Pro, then you just don't understand cost of manufacturing these days and inflation, its actually pretty fairly priced for the hardware you're getting and performance/fidelity increase. Xbox Series X 2TB console is $600 USD to help put things in perspective which is actually genuinely bad value for old 2020 hardware with zero refresh/slim model either.
I personally don't see the appeal of game consoles anymore. I have PCs hooked up to my TVs and there's almost never a truly exclusive game anymore, everything seems to eventually get a PC release so I just stick with PC using Playstation, Xbox, and 8BitDo controllers depending on if I'm playing something new or just emulating. I bought a PS4 just to play Bloodborne and a couple other "exclusive" games, but all those games (other than Bloodborne) came to PC so I ended up selling it. I've never played a PS5 so hearing about a new console already is crazy to me.

Peak battlefield was battlefield 1, I do not care about any nerds whining about minimal weapon customization. Every game is absolutely dramatic in the best way, nothing will ever come close.
The prices of games, which accounting for inflation, have NEVER been cheaper. Everyone with a clue knows that. And of course PC is always the better option, now more than ever with both Xbox/PS exclusives coming to it, but there are a lot of reasonable reasons a person may not have the space or desire or higher initial cost to go that route

I hope there is a campaign in battlefield. I know alot of people think their campaigns are hit and miss, but I still enjoyed them all on some level. Also, on the Vessi shoes, are the court-side classics waterproof too? I like the way they look alot better than their other shoes.
Hit and miss? Can't think of any misses apart from the truly awful Hardline. BF1 and BFV were incredibly good, both Bad Companies were great too. 3 & 4 were a little generic but a fun time.

It’s completely unnecessary regardless if you have an OLED or not. The only reason why we ended up with the PS4 Pro was because Sony dropped the ball with the hardware of the base PS4, hence why 8th gen is nicked named as the “7.5 generation” The PS5 on the other hand truly feels a legitimate generational leap forward which makes the pro model all the more redundant.

You're not making any sense, it's real gamers who actually play games and don't mindlessly jump on dumb toxic bandwagons for losers who understand everything great that Ubisoft does. Far Cry 6 was a disappointment, I personally think a step backwards from New Dawn in mechanics, but anyone with even the critical thinking ability of a 10 year old knows it's impossible to never mis-step and company having a disappointing game isn't the end of the world. Particularly when it's a company like Ubisoft with a long and continued history of taking risks and trying new things within their own franchises and with new ones, including making spin-off games from interesting ideas which like Primal often turn out to be some of their best. Or putting so much care and effort into a game like Odyssey that it is literally used for educational and virtual tourism purposes. Let's not even get into the fact that you choose whether to do the optional stuff in an open world or not, that's not a real criticism. Real gamers understand the respect Ubisoft deserves. I hope there is a campaign in battlefield. I know alot of people think their campaigns are hit and miss, but I still enjoyed them all on some level.
Also, on the Vessi shoes, are the court-side classics waterproof too? I like the way they look alot better than their other shoes.
Hit and miss? Can't think of any misses apart from the truly awful Hardline. BF1 and BFV were incredibly good, both Bad Companies were great too. 3 & 4 were a little generic but a fun time.

The only people that should get it are people with top tier setups and have no PlayStation at all.
It’s completely unnecessary regardless if you have an OLED or not. The only reason why we ended up with the PS4 Pro was because Sony dropped the ball with the hardware of the base PS4, hence why 8th gen is nicked named as the “7.5 generation”
The PS5 on the other hand truly feels a legitimate generational leap forward which makes the pro model all the more redundant.

As a fan of Splinter Cell I made a John Wick style action montage using Splinter Cell Blacklist stylish takedowns. Looks really cool. If only we got a proper John Wick game that way, Ubi could license and stay afloat. They have all the right tools already. No more taking real gamers for granted.

You're not making any sense, it's real gamers who actually play games and don't mindlessly jump on dumb toxic bandwagons for losers who understand everything great that Ubisoft does. Far Cry 6 was a disappointment, I personally think a step backwards from New Dawn in mechanics, but anyone with even the critical thinking ability of a 10 year old knows it's impossible to never mis-step and company having a disappointing game isn't the end of the world. Particularly when it's a company like Ubisoft with a long and continued history of taking risks and trying new things within their own franchises and with new ones, including making spin-off games from interesting ideas which like Primal often turn out to be some of their best. Or putting so much care and effort into a game like Odyssey that it is literally used for educational and virtual tourism purposes. Let's not even get into the fact that you choose whether to do the optional stuff in an open world or not, that's not a real criticism. Real gamers understand the respect Ubisoft deserves. Let's put it this way, if it was Ubisoft rather than EA who owned Need for Speed, we wouldn't now have had 15 years of disappointment and NOT getting what we want.

AMD definitely has the advantage in a combined APU. If they went with Intel, a different GPU solution would be needed which would likely be a big additional cost.

Sony is pulling a "gotcha" move with the 30th anniversary consoles. They are removing the disc drive and they know the consoles will sell anyway so they can tell investors: "See? People don't care about disc drives." To further hammer nails in the coffin of physical media.
I dont think people realize how much of a mess Intels leadership and manufacturing structure has been for the last decade, they absolutely used to be on top but their tech guys got replaced by business guys and its been going down hill since, of course they'd choose AMD
