- DEANO TEST FLEW LEES NEW TOY DOWN THE PATCH TODAY,
ITS A GIANT SCALE TOP-FLITE P-47D THUNDERBOLT POWERED BY AN EVOLOUTION 80cc PETROL ENGINE (AWESOME POWER !) TURNING A BIELA 26X10 CARBON PROP,
DONT KNOW WHY THE RETRACTS DIDNT WORK BUT CARRIED ON REGARDLESS !
WHEN DEAN CAME IN ON FINALS ONE FLAP CAME DOWN MORE THAN THE OTHER ( @ 3:00 ) AND ROLLED HER OVER SO NEXT TIME ROUND HE LANDED WITHOUT THEM BUT SHE DIDNT SLOW DOWN AND RUN OFF THE STRIP AND TUNED TURTLE !
COULDNT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THEM AND THEY WORKED FINE FOR LEE ON HIS LANDING,

Looked like a great flying project well executed. Stuck that flap down landing spot on. Eye appeal for the crowd and solid power and a steady drag profile for the pilot would make it a pretty plane for doing the three prefect loop maneuver.

shes a bit overpowered dave (by 20cc - lol) but with carefull use of the power in dives shell be ok - pete,

Is there a build thread or photos for this engine installation? Curious to see how you mounted that big engine and exhaust routing/exit. Very nice job by the way. Flies great.
Are you using robart retracts?
Can't find them in the uk!

were did he get the plane from ? cant find one of these anywhere .. looks good,, mine will have a zen 62
