Worked like a charm. The wheel sucks to get out though . When you’re taking the enclosure apart . Turn your wheel either left or right and remove that screw on the steering column
De Mai Nice Job and thank you for sharing. However, instead of a plastic tie that will not last, why not use a Washer to align the Gear Teeth? Cheers from Toronto Canada!
every video I see explains the tilt repair (up & down) but not the telescope repair (in & out) which is my problem.(motor runs but no movement of steering wheel).
I had the same issue but now that it’s fixed, I have another problem that I cannot figure out. The tilt trim motor only works for a few seconds before it starts slowing down. Another few seconds and it does nothing. Easiest way to explain it is that it acts like a remote control car with a battery that’s almost dead. If I let it sit for a few minutes it works again briefly before it suffers the same symptoms. The longer I wait, the stronger it is and the longer it lasts before it dies again. I rebuilt the electric motor and it didn’t solve it. I thought maybe it was a bad relay but I can’t find any relays, only the tilt trim computer. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
It's such a pain cause it auto correct back up. I rather adjust it to my style then remove the roulette so it won't go back to its original auto setting!
Let's see, in a shop, $86.50 parts and $165 labor..... I followed your instructions, 17 minutes and one ziptie!!! Thank you so much!!
Add another digit onto that price quote if you were to take it to a Lexus dealership....
5:18, lol i love bros voice
Excellent video and narration. You are a hero sir!

Also ace hardware has plastic washers with a square nut in the middle also six points
Any reason you didnt just use a washer or two? thanks for the video.
Great video. Glad he showed me how to resolve. I will try washers. Just my personal preference
Still waiting for lack of washer explanation 😋
Will it be easier to use a flat washer
Thank you, I use some Tubing for spacer. Great explanation on R&R.
Thank you. It was very helpful.
Thank you, it will worked perfectly 😊
Thanks for this! Works like a champ now.
Do you know if it has the same mechanism on a ls430? This could save me alot of money lol
Why not employ a plastic spacer/washer instead of a homemade zip tie? I can see that stripping, ripping etc. Good explanation though. Thank you.

@@datcelsiordude2401 I’m thinking there must be a capacitor somewhere that needs to be replaced.
What about if the other part controlling extending and retracting fail? Is it kinda like fixing that?
When the car is started will it automatically come up, instead of manually adjusting it? I have a 2004 LS430
If he has it set to "auto". (The button on the upper part of the screen)
You can make a plastic washer out of bottles
Awesome explanation. Thank you very much.
Nice work mate!

Homemade Teflon Washer 😁
Mine broke in the perfect position, if it didn't move everytime you turned it on it would probably last a little longer

That lexus yellow grease is trash, take it all out and use white lithium.
