Were Barcelona robbed in El Clasico? Surely, Culers think so. But they actually do have a case because that game was a good demonstration of how NOT to use technology in the modern game.
In fact, it has inspired us to look at the 10 most controversial decisions in the VAR era. If you hated VAR before, this video will make you hate it even more. And there’s something for every fan base here.
Of course, we’ll start with the Clasico. That game saw Madrid win 3-2 and extend their lead at the top of La Liga to 11 points, pretty much sealing the title, but it was perhaps the most controversial game of the season.

Qatar might be the biggest robberies in football thanks to VAR:
1.2023 Asian Cup Final vs Jordan: 3 penalties by Akram Afif; 2 of which shouldn't be given.
2.U-23 Asian Cup vs Indonesia: Blatant penalty for Qatar and harsh red card for Indonesia player.
The best example of terrible var decisions is Indonesia vs Uzbekistan in the u23 asian cup.
Why is there no mention of the romero handball in spurs bs united but then there is a mention of saka vs neuer which was a bit soft?
I think VAR is better than no VAR at all. It's not perfect, but we can improve it.

Real Madrid VAR controversy in El Classico is mostly just frustration from the fans. First the Vásquez penalty is clear contact as Cubarsí as he doesn’t intentionally move his body into a position that Cubarsí makes contact unlike Saka vs Neuer. Also Yamal only makes contact as HIS OWN foot is moving back and just happens to barely lightly graze Camavinga. Plus Yamal takes a solid two steps before falling. Also the Goal I admit yes there should be technology in place to deal with that, but social media posts are just fans finding curious angles, there is no real evidence it went in.
I forget about the Rüdiger contact btw, and Rüdiger doesn’t even move to make contact (because he sees Camavinga running towards the ball) López just runs into him.

Real Madrid vs Valenica it was 2-2 and someone crossed in the ball from Real Madrid in the last min before the ref blew the whistle and the ball was crossed in and in play and Bellingham scored and the ref blew the while when it came to Bellingham and that messed up he cant blow the whistle when its already crossed in

I don't like Barca but that definitely crossed the line, they were robbed.
The lack of camera angles for such an important game us honestly appalling. I could barely see the ball from the few straight ones provided while watching the game.
The fact that La Liga don't have goal line technology is just stupid, the president can keep yapping about "too expensive" but it literally costs €3M. The president got a €3M payrise that year so HOW could they not pay for such a basic technology? That guy is one of the worst league presidents I have ever seen, his corruption and sketchy rules are just increasing the gap between the big and small clubs, and dragging La Liga behind the rest of the world.
you are right Vazuez completly emabarssed himself and that is very soft penalty ever given and controversial one not only Ghost goal to Lamine Yamal wich should have stood GTS or not and Lamine Yamal got robbed twice in that game that goal and penalty that should have been given and anaother penalty where Fermin Lopez was trough and should have also been awarded penalty number 2 he was trough and Rudiger on purposely blocked and was standing in the way of Lopez aswell i don't understand those kind of refferees not giving an obvious penatly and foul on Lopez Barca deserved to win that match not RealVARdrid.

The VAR guys should get banned for shitty work they do.
1- Lucas vasquez deserved that penalty because the defender leg fully strectched and fully extended unlike bayern and saka case.
2- Lamine Yamal goal right to be cancelled, even the picture you showed from the top shows that it did not fully go in, there is still a small part of the side of the ball over the line.
3- Rudiger just stood there and the player ran in to him , how is that a foul, lers bot play ourselves. Remember muller block to jordi alaba when bayern damaged barcelona back then ? Its not a foul.
4- Camavinga wasnt even the last player , he had valverde beside him and rudiger on the other side so no red card.
