Holley Sniper EFI: Quick Firmware Update In Under 5 Minutes

- Updating to the newest firmware on my Holley Sniper EFI. I have this Sniper EFI on my 1990 Third Gen Chevy Camaro with a Small Block Chevy 350 with Vortec heads.
This video will show you how to update your firmware and save your old tune and transfer it to the new firmware so you don't need to re tune anything.
Great video, the first one that actually showed the all important file structure on the SD card( that I could find.) First step on display screen is the same, now your immediately prompted to update at the main menu, but I had to "Upload to ECU" still. Thanks.
great video man. You made it clear and simple to follow. I did this firmware update today after buying the Y-splitter cable and the USB/CAN cable so that I can now use my laptop in the car to tune the sniper and view live data as the engine runs. The firmware update went smooth and I am glad I could follow along with your video to ensure I did it all correctly. Thanks!

I appreciate how simple u make it seem. My sniper is running fine now except some crashing when trying to adjust cranking fuel while running it will freeze on the screen and then I have to cycle key. When did this update get released I updated last year sometime.
That's some progress at least! and no update as far as I'm aware just wanted to help anyone out that was having issues with it

@@ZanesGarage Great video and more up to date than the Holley video. Only thing i would like to mention is that its not necessary to key off when the system says remove sd card and reboot the device. If fact i know a few guys that did the key off thing and bricked the ecu and the snipers had to go back to holley for re-flashing. Usually I don't key off until the entire firmware update is finished and I've reloaded the tune.

Installed the Firmware update this afternoon. Quick and easy. Same exact procedure. Only difference is we're you find the updated file on Holley's website.

Im the guy with 1970 olds 442-w-30...Finally got my sniper and hyper spark installed..It runs like crap!! Learn mode is reading a negative 16%!! But my mechanic did notice the firmware reading for the wizard is 1.1.35.....I think it needs to be updated to 1.1.7....He said the ECU is up to date, but wizard software is not....How do i update the wizard only since the ECU is current...

Did the sd card come with the unit or did you buy it separately?
